Kyle
chea, i'm stoked
Kyle
Sure, there's no IR, but I used everything that came with the box to make it, and it looks great IMO. Better than that one on Engadget a few weeks ago.

...Anyways I carved out the dock connector area a bit on the adaptor that came with the iPod, cut out a few holes in the box, and viola. Here it is.

It's not like a little headstart hurts.

if your using videora you will probably want to set output fps to 29.97 with a profile, it has a documented issue with gradual audio desync when using a 23fps source even if your output is same fps

how do i copy a dvd so it is compatible on my dvd player?

i rented 11:14 and i really want to make a copy for myself but don't know how.
B-ryon
the easiest way would be to either use dvdshrink by itself, or dvd decrypter + dvdshrink, i'm not really sure how well shrinks built in ripping is

go to www.doom9.org

Guides

DVD Backup - DVD

DVD Backup Guides

then choose DVD Shrink from the speeds over quality section, youll want to cut any audio tracks which you don't need to keep, and you might want to replace large extras with blank images to give more space to your main video

if you want the best possible quality, read the dvd-rb guide, its not nearly as simple as shrink is though.
B
Use DVD Decrypter.
Rip the vob files to a folder.

then open Nero and start a DVD-Video disc, and copy all the files that were put into the folder by DVD Decrypter and burn it.
Done.
Bobby

hey how do i put a movie from my dvd drive into itunes?
B
(this is something I posted on another site, about a certain dvd, so ignore that part)

First of all, you need DVD Decypter.

And you need AutoGK.

Now put in the dvd. Open DVD Decrypter.
Goto mode on the top menu. (File Edit View Mode etc...
    Select IFO.
Now in the right side where it says input there are different parts of the dvd that you can rip.
With movies, usually the longest one is the actual movie. With AEWS&S I believe the 45 minute one is the performance, and the other long one is the lessons.
*Choose the 45 minute one I guess. Make sure all the chapters are selected.
Have the correct folder you want chosen to rip to. Then start the decryption with the 'dvd > drive' button at the bottom.
    *Choose the longest one.
Open Auto GK.
Choose your input file first. This file will be the IFO file within the directory you ripped the dvd to.
    Choose the output location.
The audio track should automatically choose it's self.
Selecting the output size is easy. For movies you can choose 700MB and the quality still comes out great. You can always go lower if you're not too worried about quality. Go with 350 if thats the case.
Now press add job. Then start job.
Now this process takes a long time. That should be all. Enjoy your movie, disc free.

yeah thanks i have one, i just didnt have admin rights but i figured it out
SAOdrew
or you could do it the easy way.

roxio popcorn, rips the dvd and then you can convert to mpg4 and then import to itunes.
Kyle
the easy way would be using handbrake to rip the mp4 straight from dvd
SAOdrew
for some reason handbrake was never very reliable.
