yeah (to chaz, agreeing with lori) a PC formatted ipod works on both PC and MACS but a MAC formatted ipod only works on MACS.

god whats this hype about the ipod touch?! yay you can touch it and get it smudgy so it sucks watching videos. and it's more expensive! and it dosn't hold as many songs! yay!

also, i got my imac. i...really dont like it so much. this keyboard is flat and it's annoying. the screen is too big. web pages never fit the screen..if i make them bigger it just gives it more border...videos don't even fill the whole screen..what's all this screen for? and i feel like im not in control of the computer. i got this so i can make music and graphics...but the big screeen makes me feel like i have no control and the mouse has to move all across the screen...

First of all, for videos to take use of the "big" (we call it wide)screen, they have to be in a widescreen format. Second of all, you get EXTRA space to the left and to the right.
Also, did you know how to use windows THE DAY YOU GOT IT?
Give it some time. You might even come around and manage to deal with the mac. It's not that hard. Infact, for normal people, it's super easy.

hah you guys are so defensive! i didn't really say that to knock the mac, but maybe to give you guys some room to explain to me why some of these things are good.
you obviously are more experienced at mac than me, we all know that already.
WHY do i need extra space to the left and right while viewing myspace or saoboards?
for me, it's distracting and it makes me feel like not getting on myspace and booking our tour. also, it makes things on myspace look weird. i've downloaded firefox and it is the same way. videos look good in full screen mode..but the mouse seems so small and i just feel like i don't have enough control...

i mean you're right, i already know i am weird. but i dont think not liking distracting margins is really that odd.

I consider myself to be quite normal and it takes me good amount of time to figure out how to do seemingly simple tasks on a mac, such as set a photo taken by iphoto to be your desktop background (why the hell is that under "share"? Are you sharing with yourself or something? And yea, I know there is probably a hotkey or something for it.)

Personally I'd love a monitor that was too big for my browser.

more space means more room for shit. if you have a big monitor and you just stretech your browser to fill the screen, you're basically defeating the entire purpose of having a large monitor. especially for programs like photoshop, it's so much nicer to have a huge monitor to place things all over and be able to see things in larger sizes. i don't know how you could feel like you aren't in control; you're the one pointing the cursor, aren't you? if it's too fast or something you can edit that in system preferences.

i was kind of hoping they would make it more like garageband. garageband is such a user friendly interface and i can get things down so much quicker on it... why wont they make a garageband pro or something?

personally, i just go to system preferences / desktop & screensaver, choose folder and pick the photo like that.

i really hate iphoto to be honest, maybe because i have a lot of photos in it... it just annoys me for the most part.

if the screen is really that big of a problem just make your resolution smaller. Maybe the big hype of the iPod touch is that it's not just an iPod...and I feel people aren't making a big enough deal out of it. I guess I should just wait until people start getting them in the mail before I really start hearing alot about them.
