I heard there is a program that lets you download songs directly from other peoples playlists. Does anyone know where I can find this program?
Also, is there a way to look at anybody's list? The only ones I can see is people in my dorm.
Thanks!

There's a nifty little program called myTunes that does what you speak of... not that I use it on the school's network or anything though... that would be wrong...

i'm okay with downloading music without paying for it, and i'd be okay with that itunes hack, but it seems like that would be considered much much more illegal
also, the interface on my itunes freezes but the music keeps going
this happens pretty much every time i use itunes
it's real annoying

you can only view/steal from the libraries of people in your local network. a couple years ago (well before it was released for pc), itunes had the ability to share libraries over the internet but due to piracy, they changed their minds about it.

myTunes is nice but most of the people that live in my dorm have terrible music taste. it only comes in handy when i'm looking for the latest Luda' track.

Today Apple announced the new MacBook. Dual 1.83 Ghz intel processors. 15.4 inch widescreen. Insane.
They also announced the new iMac. same design, but 2.0 Ghz Intel Duo processors
i think this means OSX on pcs?

just because a mac has an intel processor doesnt mean its like osx on a pc. these macs are much more powerful than a pc.

while i don't use intel processors, i wouldn't say they suck. i think it's just the way that most developers utilize it.

I'm excited about the rumour of the new MacMini with possible built-in dock, DVR capabilities, and intel processors.
iPod question:
I like to listen to my music loud, but I find that it isn't loud enough. If I change the volume by doing: rightclick>get info>options>volume adjustment will it get louder on the iPod?

Your talking about doing that on iTunes right? If you are, I'm not sure if that will help. It might help with the song being played from iTunes but not from the iPod. If you wanna get louder, just get an iTrip OR i found out you can take the chord from your computer speakers and plug it into the top of the iPod. (the chord that is connected to the computer). Then just press play and you can play your iPod without using windows media or anything. You can play it while the computers off too. But, I'm sure you or someone else knew that.

there is downloads to make it louder, my friend nick showed me today.
my friend lauren said she saw pictures of the new ipod, the screen is horizontal

Jan 10 2006, 07:27 PM
Yeah, so I heard all about it today.
The new processors boost speeds on the iMac to 2-3x it's normal speed, and the MacBook goes 5x faster than the Powerbook... Topping out to be the most power notebook in the country. The Intel processors are far better than the PowerPC chips that the older apple computers use. Pretty sweet developments.
Also, Mac OS X won't run on a windows PC for this fact; OS X was specifically designed for Apple computers, running off of a UNIX based operating system, basically beating the fucking out of windows and shitting on it.

No, its probably the image of another company's video player that was circulating before the video ipod came out. It that looks almost like an ipod, but without a click wheel. Or it could be one of the thousands of rumored concepts/Ipod user concepts of the video, for instance:

another:
Real, Photoshopped, 3D Modeled?
Of course, there's also a possibility that some of these were prototypes that failed due to some reason (battery life was even shorter than the current iPod Video, screen problems, user interface, etc), but Apple has since fixed those problems

Yeah, that's some kind of modded thing, because the only new thing released for iPod is a remote with a built-in FM tuner.
