i signed up the throne at unshadowed.net. i have used this hosting before. it is nice. i remember some sort of basic web editing thing in the control panel. to put a picture up and some info or whatever. but i cannot find it this time around. which is makeing me sad. right now, if you try to go to the page it says it cannot be found. i think it is because i do not have a index.html file (?) no idea. i wish i could just find that user friendly page creater. damn it, can someone help. i just wanna get the page viewable at least

Actually, microsoft word is probably one of the best programs to use for web page editing, despite popular belief.

So if you wanna go that route I could show you, its so easy.

HTML is very simple. Just open up Notepad and use an HTML guide or cheatsheet (like this). Save it as .htm and upload.

upload to where? there are a bunch of folders in the file manager. and whats this about idex.html to make the page viewable. it was in the email...

the guy above me is right. HTML is not the hardest thing to do. But using Microsot word is really easy. You just put what you need to have and then save it as a web page....your done. It even comes with a built in html feature so you could kill two birds with one stone that way.

Frontpage and word are completely different. Frontpage is made for creating html pages. Word can be, but thats not the reason it was created.
Frontpage is very easy to use, dude.

ok...i found the editor...i think. but becasue i cannot access fightforthethrone.com it wont let me edit it. i have to log in thru the unshadowed webpage. i cant just got to fightforthethrone.com/cpanel it says fightforthethrone cannot be found. i think it is because of this index.html thing.....help!

if you want web creation program, use frontpage. dreamweaver is better, but frontpage is easier to learn since most people have a basic understand of most microsoft products already. then, i suggest you use an ftp client, not the file manager on a control panel, a ftp client is just much easier.

if you can't connect to fightforthethrone.com directly, it's more than likely a dns issue. have you recently changed web hosts? the domain name might still be pointing to the old server.

no this is all new. i am pretty sure i found the basic editor i was looking for. i mean for now...its good, just to have something up. but like i said i cant do anything because fightforthethrone.com cannot be found....

um ... i thought it was a dns issue, but i have some bad news for you man, according to godaddy.com, your domain name isn't even registered, heh. if you didn't buy the name, it's never going to show up anywhere, even if you have hosting and setup an account under that domain name.
