Stevesy.
Can't wait for Rudi Johnson to run all over those fuckers next week.

Also. Started Addai over Travis Henry today. Fucking shit.
adam.
Holy fuck, Drew Brees.

Holy fuck, Bush receptions.

Holy mother of fucking god, there's still a chance for my NYG to get the division.
robbot says:
alright raiders. keeping that streak alive! rooooad to the super bowl.
-chris-
Won my fantasy matchup again this week, all because of Drew Brees, 37 points! I'm now 8-6, I should be in the playoffs now.
beloved_kid
this is the first week of playoffs for me....so far im looking good
beloved_kid
edit: im not sure why there are two posts

lol
-chris-
Made it into my fantasy league playoffs because I had more points than the other 8-6 team. I'm the number four seed, so I play the guy who has lost just twice all season. I think I have a pretty good chance though, because I already beat him in the regular season. It'll help if Drew Brees continues to play amazing.
beloved_kid
basically, the steelers are on another roll
Ian
amen. keep the playoff dreams alive pittsburgh.

pretty sure im gonna get a willie parker jersey.
-chris-
Pretty sure I won my fantasy match-up this week, unless Carson Palmer and Reggie Wayne have huge games tomorrow night.

Off to the finals.
beloved_kid
wayne will, palmer may
-chris-
If they could be held to a combined 15-16 points, I should win. That is if T.J. Houshmandzadeh gets a few points.
beloved_kid
wayne wont have more than one td unless he has a huge game....tj will definitely have a lot of receptions

palmer will throw for 2 tds at least
iwontbreak custom
i love how almost 20 teams (that haven't clinched already) still have playoff hopes at the end of week 15.
nigga pleez
I'm still all for the Chiefs
beloved_kid
they fucking suck and wont do shit

im in my fantasy championship.....won by over 20 and im still waiting on manning and wayne tonight to add to my total

Wrong.

Palmer got 1 point.
Wayne got 10.
Housh got 2.

I win by 1 point.
beloved_kid
well im sorry i cant predict the future completely, its not my fault the bengals are starting to suck again on d.

wayne still had a td...with cinci's loss, pittsburgh really does have a good chance. The Bengals play at Denver next week, and close against pitt.

I think the steelers will pull through next week against the ravens, theyre playing some damn good football on both sides of the ball and are not gonna forget that they got shutout last time.

Needless to say, when the steelers are on top of their game, youre going to have a hard time finding a way to win.
Ian
wesley willis is amazing
beloved_kid
the games in pitt...
Ian
really? i could've sworn it said "at BAL" on TV. oh well. they should def win then.
adam.
QUOTE(beloved_kid @ Dec 19 2006, 03:55 PM)

pittsburgh really does have a good chance.

According to NFL.com the following would have to happen for the Steelers to get in.

Pittsburgh win 2 remaining games
Jets lose to Miami
Jax lose two remaining games
Denver beat Bengals
Tenn lose at least 1 of 2 remaning games

leavin' in a dream world, bro.
Stevesy.
Yeah. Bills have quite the scenario as well. I'm not holding my breath when they've got the Titans and Ravens left. But I can't help but be giddy at the thought.
beloved_kid
miami is solid and the jets arent a consistenly great team...they just have a semi-easy schedule

jax has NE and KC...two tough matchups

denver over cincy at mile-high any day

and TEN wont keep winning forever
Ian
exactly

That's not all that needs to happen. You'll need Buffalo to beat the Titans and lose to the Ravens. The first tiebreaker after head-to-head is conference record. The Steelers have a 4-6 conference record right now. If they win out they'll end up 6-6. Buffalo has a 5-5 conference record, and if they win out they'll end up 7-5.

Buffalo and Pitt need most of the same things to happen. This should help put things in perspective:

WILD CARD PICTURE AS OF TODAY:
Cincinnati 8-6
Denver 8-6
New York 8-6
Jacksonville 8-6
Buffalo 7-7
Tennessee 7-7
Pittsburgh 7-7
Kansas City 7-7

MUST HAPPEN FOR BUFFALO:
Miami def. NYJ
Buffalo def. Tenn

WOULD HELP BUFFALO:
NE def. Jax

SWING GAME:
- If Cinci def. Denver - we'd need Denver to either lose their next game against SF or KC to win their last two games. Because if Denver ties KC at the end, we get the Tiebreaker because KC knocks Denver out with Division record, and then we knock KC out with conference record.
- If Denver def. Cinci and then Cinci def. Pitt - This will come down to strength of victory tiebreaker between Cinci and Buffalo. The strength of victory tiebreaker is the combined win-loss-tie record of each team's opponents. Buffalo owns this BY ONE RIGHT NOW over Cinci, so this will depend on what happens over the last two games.
- If Denver def. Cinci and then Pitt def. Cinci - This will come down to conference record tiebreaker between Pitt and Buffalo, and Buffalo owns this tiebreaker if they both win out.

Crazy shit.

Could it happen? Definitely. Will it? Doubt it.

YESSSSS
GO PATS
Stevesy.
I think that was a whack ass call.

Anyway. Bills lose. Steelers lose. Blah...
Taylor.
how bout them titans
-chris-
Even though Chicago won, they seriously need to get their shit together. You can't blow leads to teams like Tampa and Detroit, especially in the playoffs where there are much better teams. It's not even Grossman's fault they suck right now, he's played well the past 3 games. It's the defense's fault, I didn't know you could say that, but it's true. Missing Tommie Harris and Mike Brown obviously hurts, but shit the rest of the boys are still there, Briggs, Urlacher, Tillman, you guys need to take charge and get this defense going again. Hopefully having another relatively easy opponent in Green Bay next week, and a first round playoff bye should help them.

*end rant*
TheGreatWhiteHope
geaux saints.

ahh i know. my boyfriend is obsessed with them, i was hoping they would win cause i wanted him to be in a good mood. so yay.

p.s.
go cowboys.
jen
He must be in a great mood then smile.gif I thought we were going to lose it for a little while... phew!
beloved_kid
well now the ravens are set to win the super bowl in my opinion
Ian
fuck the ravens
beloved_kid
i agree but i dont see anyone beating them other than the colts or saints b/c they dont need the running game to score points
-chris-
San Diego could beat them, so could Chicago if their defense gets back to how good it was a couple weeks ago.
beloved_kid
nope. san diego will not stand a chance against baltimore without an efficient run total from LT...and he wont get that at this moment against that team....
-chris-
Weren't you the one before the season started telling me I was living in 2000 because I thought Baltimore would be good this season.
Ian
thats enough
suspense
As much as I like Baltimore because their only super bowl victory came at the hands of a quarterback from my high school, I'm gonna go ahead and say Saints vs. San Diego in the super bowl. And the Chargers will win.
