Its never too early to talk football.
What are your thoughts on this year's draft, your favorite teams, thoughts on the upcoming season, offseason trades, etc. ?

the jets have a better chance than the bills to be honest. and the raiders are complete idiots for passing on matt leinhart. if they really think aaron brooks is the answer, theyve failed the exam.

If Pennington can come back healthy, and the rest of the team can perform decent enough, the Jets might have a chance at the wildcard.
That might is so small, though.

yeah it is. pennington staying healthy is always a concern. curtis martin being older than dirt is another. at least the offensive line will be improved. good luck to you guys...

especially with W. Roaf back in the lineup. too bad you guys can never get any receivers. they'll have gonzalez double teamed all year again. you guys got an excellent DE in the draft from Penn State to go along with that LB from Texas from last year's draft.

i like some of the receivers you guys picked up in the offseason. and you got my boy reggie brown from georgia. still, it will be hard not to finish last in that division this year. i guess it depends on what washington does.

steelers lost randle el...but I think they made some pretty healthy draft choices to help fill some gaps
hopefully staley can stay healthy for more than a game or two this year and they will still have a decently spread offense.

for a 6th round pick, 5th depending on his playing time.
fucking GOLD. 3rd overall pick for a 6th ROUND pick.
fuck you, detroit.
seahawks ain't goin' nowhere. take it to the bank.
dallas'll take the NFC East, but NYG'll take a wildcard spot.
washington'll continue to look good, but not good enough.

wow, thats an idiotic statement dude. vick is great. the receivers need to step the fuck up. roddy white should have a breakout year. the falcons defense is going to be vastly improved. they already led the league in sacks last year and the defensive line is twice as strong this season. they added lawyer milloy in the secondary as well as a shutdown corner in jimmy williams from va tech.

49ers. Hopefully we can get at least a .500 this season. Trent Dilfer is on the team now, which is sweet because he graduated from my High School.
chino
May 14 2006, 10:07 PM
yeah, good luck with all that.
trent dilfer is not a great qb, and unless you have a defense like the '00 ravens [which you dont] he isnt going to lead you anywhere. dilfer was on the browns last year with more talent than the niners have and he didnt help them one bit. im not hating, he's a great guy. i am just pointing out the facts.

Since I live in Tennessee I'm a Titans fan, and I think they had a pretty good draft (Vince Young and Lendale White).
Also, since I'm a student at the University of Tennessee, I'm a Colts fan due to Peyton Manning. It's amazing how many people in Knoxville love the Colts. I know they're good and all, but I don't know a single person here who doesn't love them and Peyton.
chino
May 15 2006, 07:17 PM
i think lendale white will be a solid back. vince young remains to be seen. i still think they shouldve taken leinhart. it was a good draft if they both work out. i understand the peyton phenomenon there in TN. over here in arkansas everyone is on matt jones' nuts so the jax jaguars are constantly on t.v.
p.s. fuck the vols, go dawgs!
nkotb47
May 15 2006, 07:37 PM
go jags nigga! if byron can step his game up to the hyped potential everyone sees him at we should challenge the colts this year. our offense is explosive, even with the loss of jimmy smith. which was tragic.
chino
May 15 2006, 07:47 PM
yeah but omgz! you have matt jones so now worries bro. who needs jimmy smith?
p.s. whats up with you guys always drafting running backs when you already have like 5?

fred taylor only counts as half since hes always injured. i love the guy to death, hes like one of my all time fav. players, but damn. even when the guy isnt "out" hes still playing hurt and is not at his full potential. so u have to have some good backups. we drafted a TE this year anyway with our main pick. matt jones does look like he is gunna be a sick talent.

yeah taylor gets hurt a lot but do you really need him, pearman, toefield, m. drew from ucla, and greg jones? there are actually 3 more on the roster right now in addition to those but rosters will be cut down later on.
nkotb47
May 15 2006, 08:05 PM
prolly gunna keep toefield, jones, and drew. then cut the rest or re-position them for special teams. im not the coach. i trust our guy tho. comes from good stock over there in carolina and has definitely built this jags team in the right direction.

sounds good. i figure pearman will fit in on special teams somewhere. greg jones can start at fullback. maurice drew is fast as shit so they need to use him in some way for sure. they also need to utilize matt jones' talent a little more this season. and reggie williams needs to step the fuck up for once. j. smith is gone, its time for him to be the man.

May 15 2006, 08:14 PM
the real gem in tht recieving core if ernest wilford. he is a big target with great hands and hops plus most importantly he is not afraid to go up and make those hard catches over the middle. he had like 2 or 3 game winning touchdowns last year in the last 30 seconds of games. matt jones will get his when byron learns how to spread the ball around to all depths and sides of the field.
chino
May 15 2006, 08:27 PM
but they dont have to just throw it to him, do reverses, put him in the shotgun a little like last year. just anything to get him the ball. its kind of like a randle-el situation. well except matt jones cant really throw to save his life.
nkotb47
May 15 2006, 08:31 PM
jones doesnt have the moves like antwan although hes prolly faster. hes just gotta learn his plays, its gotta be tough learning a whole new position on the highest level of competition. hes only going to get better.
chino
May 15 2006, 08:33 PM
i am assuming you meant mobility. but yeah he will only get better which will unfortunately only fuel the m. jones frenzie here in arkansas.
