For some reason there was no thread about the band.
QUOTE(XThriceX from the unofficial Thrice boards)
Yesterday Converge began tracking their next album for Epitaph Records. The group, with the guidance of guitarist Kurt Ballou, is engineering and producing the effort themselves. According to the band, "No need to bring anyone else in, not when we have the ability to collectively create the album we artistically envision.
The album will consist of roughly thirteen songs, of which the band states, "These songs are a freight train, to us sounding larger and harder than any of our previous efforts.http://www.lambgoat.com/news/view.aspx?id=6884Quite a ridonkulous claim to come right from the band.
This is probably my most anticipated release of the year.
Also, post your appresh for this amazing band.

It has a few good songs, but as a whole, I didn't like it very much.
So, because of their claims about this upcoming release, I'm very excited. (Shouldn't be any acoustic songs).

next to petitioning, i think You Fail Me was their best material theyve ever done. This cd will rule because it is Converge and if theres one band you can count on to put out something unlike anyone else, its Converge.

Converge - No Heroes (to be released 10/24/2006)

Converge’s new full-length album No Heroes will hit stores everywhere on Oct. 24. A masterpiece of raw emotion and adrenaline frenzy, No Heroes brilliantly combines the textural sonics of You Fail Me with the brutal assault of Jane Doe. The intensity of opening track "Heartache" will simply peel the paint from the walls. You will have to wait for the full assault, but check back to this page often, because we will be posting mp3's to satiate the obsessed. In the mean time, feel the weight of Jake Bannon's visual genius.
