What's everyone consider the biggest letdown of 2006 so far? To me it would have to be Head Automatica - Popaganda. Other notables are The Sound of Animals Fighting and Saves the Day.

The Sound Of Animals Fighting. Thats the only real letdown in my opinion. I like Popaganda and I'm definitely not let down by Sound The Alarm. After In Reverie, I never expected them to put out another good album, but they never cease to amaze me.
TSOAF, but I didn't have expectations for that anyway...
Upon first listen, Muse; which is really disappointing.
I probably won't listen to the new Genghis Tron as much as I did the EP...
I have yet to listened to Head Automatica.
edit - Forgot the Warriors!

Give Muse a few more listens. Favorite song so far is Maps of the Problematique.

Except for the fact that it's the best album to come out, saves the day or not, since Stay What You Are...
I guess that's your opinion. In Reverie I beleive is a far superior album to it in every way. The tone of the guitar, the absurdity of how bad his vocals have become, the whinyass lyrics, and the obvious exclusion of eben's influence into the band are all what made this album really crappy for me. I respect your opinion though, kind sir.
edit: I will say I like eulogy though because of the SWYA vibe I get from it.

Oh shit, I forgot about Angels and Airwaves. Yeah, huge letdown.
Thursday could have been better. A lot of the songs have the same droning formula going, despite a few songs in there that are great.

Yeah, A City By The Light Divided is definitely one of my favorite albums of this year. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it seemed to be mastered poorly.

i'll agree with From First to Last, Angels and Airwaves, and Matchbook's "Voices" pissed me off a lot. No one here seems to listen to them though. TSOAF's new one was disgusting but wasn't looking forward to it, i was just curious to see what the fuss was about. Apparently, weird noises and annoying chicks going SHOOLALALALALARIMBANG. i've had a bad night, sorry.

In my opinion, Every Time I Die just keeps getting better and better. I liked Hot Damn! a lot, but Gutterphenomenon is just as good. Then again, this isn't the ETID thread and the biggest letdown is still TSOAF.
oh yea, the new Halifax cd is fucking horrendous.

FFTL was disappointing as well.

I'm with Ben. The new Saves the Day CD sucks. I gave it a listened and liked it, then listened to it again and didn't know why I did so I kept listening because I figured it was "one of those CD's" where you'd have to listen to it a couple more times to realize it's full awesomeness, but nope. Nothing.
Since then, I haven't even touched it.

I just listen to the demos.

Nothing really let me down so far except the new AFI is pretty terrible in my opinion.
I was skeptical about the new Muse when I heard Supermassive Black Hole but after listening to the rest of it, I was pretty satisfied.

I'm with you. I was pretty let down by that too. I didn't like the intermissions or the fact that they used only the 4 songs they already had.
But I guess listening to their new songs, that was probably a good idea.
