its the fans who are fucking crazy. at bamboozle last year, i was so excited to see them. in the middle of one of the songs, a scary man with a big red beard grabbed me and yelled every word to the song in my face. he was not the only one doing this.
adam.

hate him/them to death.
he's a word that starts with the letter "p", i just can't remember what it is, that i hate.

Haha, that exact same thing happened to me at an early novembre show, except the kid didn't have a beard or anything, and then he apologized after the song cause he thought I was one of his friends, heh. But then he did it again during a saves the day song...
And I agree with killafrojames about their songs being so catchy. Usually when songs are catchy, they get old fast, but that is definitely not the case with SA, because ..IARB still hasn't gotten old.

I really dig the cd, as well as the releases before it. Max is a good dude and puts a lot into what he does. The rest of the band are awesome dudes, as well.

One of my favorite bands. Definitely not because the guy is crazy. The music is just amazingly catchy, some of the songs have an awesome classic-weezer vibe, and the lyrics are a huge fucking satire. I love it.
My favorite song isn't on ...Is a Real Boy. I'd have to say "But a Fleeting Illness" is my favorite song.
jammy.

agreed. they are very catchy. when i first heard them it was iffy, then my brother listened to them and i was listening and i was singing along. i dont know how, but after hearing them once i knew the words..that doesnt usually happen when i listen to a band, i have to listen a few times in order to get the words down or i ahve to read them somewhere..but not in this case.
i love ...is a real boy, and ...was a real boy. havent heard much of their older stuff, but the cd's i have are amazing. i love the lyrics, the music. personally for max being crazy, he can write some mad lyrics. haha, love them. nothing against them, nothing bad to say about them (except for the 10 times i have tried to see them but fucking max didnt want to take his medicine and had to be readmited to the hospital).

a DOUBLE ALBUM would be pretty boring if the songs were very similar.

Oct 14 2007, 08:28 PM
This is just general talk, but has there ever been a cohesively amazing and epic double album by a band where each and every song has been individually great? I mean, I know it's rare enough for a band to do that for a single album, yet often times most double albums i listen to have more than double the filler a single album would.
