Unlike other people, what anyone else thinks doesn't affect the way I think of a band or their music. I enjoy listening to them very much. Actually, I think I'll listen to Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence now.
To me, they're just the right amount of rated.

I love glassjaw they did influence alot of music in this scene regardless of what people think. EYEWTKAS was a groundbreaking album for this genre.

even though its sold out, i can get on the guest list for the LI show, which will by far be the most intense GJ show on that tour.
too bad i certainly dont like them enough to even bother being in that small place with 1000 more fat tough guys than it should be holding who all want to just throw fists during every god damn song....including some inappropriate calmer songs.
the 2 surprise back to back shows last summer gave me the fix i needed.

Glassjaw has opened up archives of bootlegs to be downloaded free of charge
Apparently posting bootlegs of their last few shows wasn't enough. Glassjaw has opened up their archives of bootlegs to be downloaded free of charge (from 1997 all the way to 2006), including a remastered boot of their 12/22/06 show. There are some 30+ shows available (of varying quality, be warned) right off their main page, so if you're still looking for good quality mp3s of new(er) songs such as "Jesus Glue", "John Lennon", and "Natural Born Farmer", go get 'em.

the NY, NY Apple Store acoustic session is amazing, 1. i wish i had been there, 2. i wish it was a better recording - without people chattering on the side but it's still amazing.

Speaking of acoustic Shows, I know Set Your Goals played with GJ a month or two ago. And Set Your Goals is amazing acoustic, but lacks the energy of their full show.

Im so pissed i didnt know about the barfly date.
I well would have came down a day early.
would have made the travelling more bearable too.
9 hours on a bus with no stops isnt too much fun.
Enjoy the gigs?

9 Hours? I'd like to think it was worth it though.
Both gigs were amazing. I've been waiting for 7 years to see them. Barfly was obviously good but Brixton was as well for the extra songs they played (i.e. more stuff from the first album).

GJ was really very enjoyable on saturday. and while i was watching them most of the time, i did get distracted by a foreign guy (maybe italian?) doing some guns dancing (as in... "which way to the beach?" guns), it was pretty hilarious. so glad i went though, definately worth the trek.
