Yes, it sounds weird, but I can hear the ties between the older stuff and the newer stuff. Randy has been listening to a whole lot of Nurses and Radiohead (what's new?), so their stuff is getting less and less like old Finch. No one has ever accused them of being stagnant musicians/songwriters, though. They tend to do whatever the heck they want...
Clearly I'm behind on things here. I wasn't aware that Finch were going to make another album. I knew about the reunion tour but this is exciting news indeed.

Yeah, I only learned about it recently too. I have no clue what's going to happen with Cosmonaut. Nate pretty much fucked 'em up the butt there.
Not that it matters, since Cosmonaut kind of sounded like garbage.

You don't have to have artistic ability for those classes. It's more like, "As long as you tried." and "Everyone's a winner in this class, there are no losers." Plus art is largely self-expression, so if expressing yourself means creating ceramic poop... then so be it.
Only time you really do have to have artistic ability is when you're going to/apping for an art specific school. And even then, the ability of some of the students who make it in is debatable.

haha that happened to me in high school. i took AP spanish and got a d- up until the final when i pulled a c- out of my ass. they tried to kick me out...i contested it i won. got to stay in for the next semester and the whole time i kept telling my school the teacher was grading way to unfairly on the native speakers so i started photocopying people's work to prove it to them. i took the AP test got a 5 and still a c- in the class. my girlfriend got her fired...so all my photocopying at what not was a waste of my time but either way, the teacher still got what she had coming

some dude in my ceramics class made a bong and the teacher was so gullible when he told her it was a flower vase she believed him. of course when she caught smoking later that afternoon she realized it wasnt a vase
