Well I'm pretty sure I got it from the lady friend, who also had it like a week ago. Anyway, while I was in class this afternoon I got a message from the doctor who saw me today, and she said that I might also have mono, even though earlier in the day she told me I didn't. But I really can't see myself having mono also, as I have definitely not exchanged saliva with someone with mono. So yeah. But this shit is lame. I'm gonna be living off of penicillin and ibuprofen for the next two weeks. Don't worry James, I won't infect you.
I got mono as a kid. No one else in my family had it, and none of my friends did. So I wouldn't rely on your saliva theory.
You might have used the same eating utensil that a random person with mono used at a restaurant. Innocuous stuff like that could easily have transferred it.

Hmm. Well if at the end of the week I still have a sore throat that means that I have mono, since the penicillin should have killed just about all of the strep by then. I really don't think I have mono, and would be so upset if I did. Plus there is a chance I already had it or carried it once, which should make me immune or something. A couple summers ago I had a fling with this girl who turned out getting mono by the end of the summer. So, who knows. I just know that I took an initial mono test today and it came up negative, but for whatever reason there is still potential for me to have it.

going back to school yesterday wasnt so bad. found out that my 2nd semester of AP english doesnt really count because im already accepted into a college. got to see all of my friends since i wasnt able to hang out with them over the break. aww the guy that i like walked into class and gave me a huge hug =] and lastly, my econ teacher is very interesting, and i think im going to enjoy the class.
Started coaching soccer classes again after a lonnnnnnng holiday (Hawaii trip, Christmas, New Years, etc). I feel so sluggish, it's pathetic.

Hahahaha. I dont know how to explain it. I called her because she jokingly deleted me as one of her friends on facebook. Its a really boring story so I'll save you but from their we talked about school and how my physics and her history class is a joke (we go to different schools). I sensed that the conversation was coming to sort of a natural end so I told her that I'd let her get back to her homework. Then she was all "actually im all done... (lots of silence)."

Has anyone here seen Equilibrium? If so, have you read Brave New World, and do the two have a connection between their ideas at all?
Well, they're both dystopias, but the drug thing in Equilibrium is kind of the opposite of soma in Brave New World, so the connections would probably be general at best.
