While both have some technical guitar work, Shark and Bear's are much more Math influenced, and I'd compare it more to The Fall of Troy's, while Damiera I'd compare to a Brazil or Circa Survive.
Both are pretty good in their own right, I wouldn't call either of them a water down version of the other. Although Damieras vocals are a million times better

I really loved this when I first got it. Listened to it way too much and now I'm sick of it. Hopefully it will wear off
