This is my friend from school's band, he's the drummer. I'm pretty impressed with their sound. Recommended if you like Wilco or The Snake, The Cross, The Crown.

I don't really like them to much, I just really like the lead singers voice in the chorus section of "waves". They sound pretty unoriginal to me, but their singer drops some dope vox in that song.

For those of you who remember Wings Of Azrael, they finally started a new band called Elephant.

Completely different. A lot of EITS influence with some vocals. I like it a lot.

I dont know how far behind I am on this, but if you like Rage check out One Day as a Lion. Zack de la Rocha playing keys and doing his regular thing. It sounds a hell of a lot like Rage, but thats a good thing as long as theres no new Rage.

Did you ever listen to their former band On! Air! Library! They're more mellowed out, almost shoegaze like.
Check it out.
The shit that they've done with Prefuse 73 is really tight as well.

Here's a great band from Nashville called Parachute Musical. Thinks Ben Folds Meets Say Anything with a heavy Rufus Wainwright influence in the instrumentation. They have a free EP available at their website but here's their myspace so you can check them out first www.myspace.com/parachutemusical. I hope to see them tomorrow in austin
