Used to love this site. Never ended up buying anything, but the woot-off's or whatever they're called are sometimes worth staying up for. and....the bag of crap can turn out pretty awesome as well.

Woot is a website that basically sells only 1 item per day at a really discounted price. Much like the Home Shopping Network (HSN), every item is limited in quantity.
Some days they have great deals on things like Zunes at discounted prices or Roombas @ $100 off reg price or even computers for $250.
They have over time most things you want or didnt know you wanted

Good example of a sweet discount is on woot right now.
They are selling a sweet sound card for $49.99 while on that company's website, the same card is selling for $199.99

It's also pretty important to note that a majority of the items you buy are refurbished, so they might not work out as lovely as a new item would.

Actually regarding refurbished items, I heard that since they are taken in for not working or w/e to begin with they are given more attention then new items so most of the time they work better. Just what I heard and it makes sense to me.

Not all items are refurbished. Between new and refurb, I would say most are refurb. I still see a good amount of new stuff too.

most of them are factory overruns. i'm apple, i say to my factory in china "make me 100 ipods". obviously, they don't account every single one (when it's on a much larger scale) and they're bound to run over their quota. so they can sell those overrun items for cheap. others are surplus, companies are like "we have these, we need to get rid of them, here woot sell them quick."
i wish i was 21 and didn't live in PA so i could get wine.woot.
