December 21, 2012. the sun rises at the dark rift of the milkey way. this happens once ever 25,800 years. in the last 5 years it has been determined that there is a black hole in the center of the dark rift. this alignment could be like crossing a galactic equator which could cause a polar shift... which would result in world wide disaster. this date has been predicted by the mayans, the i ching, the bible, nastrodamus, even that stupid web-bot software... doomed? possibly.

There's a lot of stuff going on in 2012, but I don't believe it is the end of the world. The thing everyone talks about with this date is the mayan calendar ending, but what none of those people realize is that the mayans barely even mentioned anything special about this date - they saw their calendar ending, but then just starting over again without any disaster.

As far as all the astronomical stuff, it is an interesting coincidence that a lot of things fall around this date, but i don't think anything drastic is going to happen either. A lot of people thought that the whole particle accelerator thing being turned on this past august was going to end the world but obviously that didn't happen.

fuck that, i want to grow up and have a family. but it's pretty scary stuff. i'm hoping nothing will happen.

yeah. i'm not afraid of the world ending, but the thought of not being able to fully experience life doesn't sit well with me. that's pretty selfish, but oh well.
