I still view police officers as protectors of the peace. I mean sure I hate it when they are dropping some radar on the freeway, but it's their job to do that shit. There are some police officers that abuse their powers, but I mean there are people like that in ever profession. There are crooked people everywhere and there is know way to screen for them. The majority of police officers I have encountered are nice people.

I don't know about the Philly area, but around here, state tests are a joke. State tests do not represent what you learn in school, so it's just a waste of a day for public and private schools. As far as my knowledge goes, private schools can set their own curriculum as long as the student is then prepared to pass the state test. Also, I don't believe the school should be blamed because a student can't read. From kindergarten to my senior year, I'm sure I was given millions of chances to read. If a student can't figure out how to pronounce a simple word, they need to take action and move to remedial classes or get extra help.


I completely agree that our health care system is fucked up. But right now, they're (hopefully) working on a solution to that problem.
