Yeah, it is. I still think its worth it. Its still backwards compatable with PS2 and PS1 games which makes it more worth it. I'll be getting one eventually. Its gonna be impossible to get until after the holiday season though
I don't think I'll bother getting a PS3 until about a year or 2 after. Wait for them to get all the kinks out of the hardware and shit. I've heard way to many stories about launch day sony products breaking down numerous times.

well look at it this way, for the 360 you need to pay for xbox live ($50 a year) and then the additional HD DVD accessory (about $200), although both of those are optional they come with the ps3. So, in the long run PS3 is may be the better buy...
...and for gran tourismo for ps3 you need to buy all of the other cars and tracks. you unlock them by buying them. bad move sony.
that being said, i will get a ps3 but not for a yr or two after. i never cared for the gran tourismo or racing games in general.

God of War 3 might make me buy a ps3.

Hell yeah that game looks so tight. I think the story will be amazing, but I haven't heard a lot about multiplayer. I hope it's more than just slayer, because that gets boring now.

God of War kept me entertained for about a year. Hopefully God of War 2 will do the same. I think I'll worry about God of War 3 once I get tired of God of War 2.

I'm getting more and more excited for PS3. Even though the launch may be sloppy and expensive, its going to have some amazing games eventually and I cant wait for those.

EDIT: MTV Purchased Guitar Hero develooper Harmonix. This could mean even bigger band names, greater exposure, and more versions of the game. I can only hope that they don't get sloppy and try to release too many versions too quickly
what i read about that, was that MTV has no say in what songs are going to be on gh2, but they bought it just for advertising. but if they did buy it to add bigger band names, isnt it kind of late to be adding new songs, when it releases in a little over a month?

I figured they'd have nothing to do with GH2. I was referring to future GH games. I'll probably pass on Country Guitar Hero though ( I made that up, I really hope they aren't releasing that )

if you have a gameshark, you could get two new songs, i know thats not really an expansion pack. but sort of the same idea.

This had always been alluded to as the idea. GH2 is going to come with the guitar, or stand alone, so people don't need to buy another guitar. I defintely support the idea though.unless someone has heard anything about anything like this happening.

I never got the second one, everyone said it sucked, but Tripolette is the hardest song in the game. I kinda wanna go play it now.
the fear demo for 360 eats so much shit, the devs are sayin the demo is a pre-e3 build and that the retail should be better, but i mean, if your gonna try to build up hype for your game why release a demo that you know makes your game look way worse than it is

I still don't get where you say there's a lot of scoring, Adam. We're you playing the Xbox 360 version? Because I only get about 2 or 3 goals a game usually (not including empty netters).
Love this game. It's the most realistic representation of hockey ever and I'll stand by that.

i bought the adaptec gamebridge TV, and the software included sucks, it is intervideo home theater, and i was wondering if anyone knows of a better software?

I hear the PS2 version is like NHL 2006 part 2, where as the Xbox 360 version is totally re-vamped. Play the 360 one. Shit is noice.

i read the review on IGN.com before i bought it, and they sort of said that.
saying that the story line is kind of weak, and that it's basically just a destroy everything first person shooter.
which is what it is.
but, i'm enjoying it all the same.
i just finished playing Gun about a week ago, and I enjoyed that game as well.

New RTS Halo game. I guess it has potential to be cool. This guy made a sweet idea in his blog, saying how it'd be awesome if PC players could play the RTS and control troops of people playing Halo 3 on the 360 and tell them what to do.
Sounds really complicated but I bet if it worked right it'd be sweet.
