I read that Microsoft wanted a Nov. 12th release so it wasn't too far away from the holiday season or something. But I don't understand why they would think the 12th is much better than the 7th? Get the damn game out there so people can talk it up...

Ok, I figured it out.
The 7th is the release date for stores such as EB Games and Gamestop.
The 12th is for stores like Walmart and BestBuy.
I guess today was the shipping date, and the place I went got an early shipment. A couple other stores around here aare getting them at 7:30pm.

But what you actually said was that you don't think it will be as good as people are saying it's going to be. Most "people" haven't played it yet. And neither have you. So why be skeptical when the people that have actually played it say its amazing and it's getting stellar reviews?

You could say almost any game is "repetitious" by looking at gameplay videos. It's a fact that most games have repetitive gameplay mechanics, it's about how the game comes together, and they're not calling it a "killer-app" for nothing.

But quite honestly, I don't give a fuck what you think about a damn video game. I just think you're stupid for being "skeptical" about it. It sounds like you're worried about it. And I think that's dumb.

Thousands of people have played the game. Thousands of people already own the game. I've read more opinions on the game outside of this board, believe it or not.

I'm not worried about anything, because I don't own a 360, therefore could not get the game.

So did they people say it was good or that it was bad? Because you're saying you don't think it's as good as what the people say. But right now it sounds like you're making a case that are people saying that it's not good on places that (believe it or not!!!! lol!!! being condescending is fun!!!) aren't on this board. So, what exactly are you trying to say? That there are people saying it's not good so that means it's not good? Or are you saying that there are people saying it is good and that you're skeptical about those people's opinions? Either way you're just going off of what other people say.

today my friend called and said "i just played the wii at gamestop," so immedietly i jumped in the car and sped there. played excite bike or whatever it was for a good half hour and made my own ME. i placed 1st or 2nd in every EB race i played and the guy said that no one was able to do that, so obviously i called him a n00b.
then, after that, i go to my friends house and rock out on GH2 to ETID. fucking awesome. the deathklok song is RIDICULOUS. so is the all that remains song.
today was a great day for gaming.

so i played ffxii for 6 hours straight today. i really really enjoy this game. i have barely touched the storyline (power levelling, yay) and i don't even have gambits yet.

that wii offering all the nintendo games is not all that great. you can downloaded every game ever made for nintendo plus the emulator in like 40 seconds. my computer can hook up to a tv.. so i just dont see whats great about being able to get the old games with the wii. meh.. i think nintendo will fail once again. ps3 will dominate.

I don't think Nintendo has any intentions of outselling the PS3. I'm sure they'd love it but I'm assuming they know how to choose their battles. They're trying to target a different audience, while PS3 is all about the hardcore gamers wanting top of the line graphics at top of the line prices, the Wii's going for the family gaming aspect. And you're right, alot of people can just download emulators. But look at Itunes, everyone with an internet connection can download music and they have over a billion songs downloaded or something ridiculous. I think the virtual console will be relatively popular, but only time will tell.
