I think most people that own a Wii don't really dabble into the area of emulators and don't know about it.

I'm assuming that pretty much everyone who went out of their way to preorder one a month early knows about emulators. Its the little kids and parents who played Super Mario back in the day that will eat that shit up.

yeah but, for example, myself, i know about emulators, but i'd rather play games on a console because playing sonic on a keyboard kinda sucks balls.

Nintendo has a vision of revolutionizing gaming. If the Wii is as fun as it looks, and they can market it well enough, I honestly see no reason they couldn't outsell PS3 (given it's half the fucking price). You'd be dumb to think they have no intentions of outselling the PS3.

I used to be a little Sony fanboy, and here I am saying I'm probably not going to get the PS3, because 360 is good enough for me and I want a Wii. Everyone I know that's big into gaming is saying the same thing.

the wii is a shit ton of fun. it really gets you going, and i just played the shitty off road car racing game. you really get into it, and once you get used to how the controls handle (it takes a little bit to really get the hang out how sensitive it is and what motions do which thing) you have an amazing time. im so pumped for the wii. it definitely beats the 360 and PS3 when it comes to interactivity and awesomeness.

Especially the PS3, considering you've tried it and everything.

I hate it when I'm getting the chainsaw revved up, and then I take a random bullet, stopping my chainsaw, the bad dude runs up an chainsaws me.

The curb stomp is quite brutal/gratuitous though. Gonna have to try to get that option more often. I'm anxious to finangle with the sniper rifle too.

I hope you're right. I'm rooting for Nintendo. I guess I made it sound awkward when I said they have no intentions, I didn't quite think that one through. I honestly hope that so many people around me get Wii's, especially when the online games start to come out. I think it'd be awesome if people just bring their controllers over to other peoples houses to chill out and play Wii all night, since you can save on the controllers it makes a lot more sense to bring your own controller. I'm so fucking psyched for the party games.

Anyone remember a few E3's ago when Microsoft said they were going to sell a billion Xbox 360s? Then later they retracted their statement and made it 100 million. And they're at about 6 or so now? Aiming too high with that one.

I love the fact that you can co-op through the campaign online.

So have the people with Gears played live yet? If so, do you guys think it has the kind of re-playability on live that Halo has?

I've been doing some split screen co-op with my brother and it's quite fun. Can't wait to get live set up.

It's an amazing game.

I just took a break from playing it. This is by far the most meticulously polished (in terms of presentation) game I've ever played. And it's probably the best game I've played since Halo 2. Could possibly be better. YAIS. IT IS NIIICE.

I bought FIFA though for 360 ( just bought a 360 too, by the way ) and that game's pretty awesome. I still need to get used to it though since they've changed a few things. If you're into soccer, you'll like this game. A LOT more realistic and really fun to play multiplayer.

You guys playing on Hardcore or Casual? I picked Casual, and sometimes I wish I picked hardcore. Still gonna finish it on Casual first though.


Also, my NHL 07 game recently stopped working due to malfunction. So I went down and turned the console over to its upright position to see if that would make it work, and then my disc got FUCKED in the system. Anyone know if I can get a free replacement. I know I can get a replacement for $20 from EA, but I'd rather get it for free.

Forgot to mention this, but I sold my PS2, with two memory cards (for about 80 bucks store credit) and got my 360. It's the Pro Console with the hard drive and the media controller for the DVD's and whatnot.

My cousin bought two 360's, two Call of Duty 2's, an NBA Live 2006, and two wireless controllers and is handing over the sales to me. He was going to resell them on eBay for huge profit when they first came out but never got around to it so now the resell value's obviously gone down. He's giving it all to me for $850, or $425 if I can't sell the other system.

That's an extra wireless controller, a media remote control, a Call of Duty I can resell, a free NBA game, and a 360 Pro, estimated at over a $500 value for $425. Wheeeeee.

I'm for sure getting these games, so hit me up if you guys have an X-Box:

during my junior/senior year of high school, i had this class, that 4/5 days of the week, you had a choice of playing halo, watching movies/tv shows, or playing counterstrike/wow/worms 3d on the school network computers.
