I hate it so much when people do that, they have no idea how stupid they look. I also think mosh pits are stupid too... I don't know about anyone else but when I go to a concert I like to watch the band and pay attention to the music.

no, hardcore dancing has been around a lot longer than that video, but i commend AFI for bringing the dance to mainstream, i do it frequently and i love it.

the thing is, hardcore dancing has nothing to do with AFI and it kind of pisses me off that people will associate it with that video now. the people who do that (or do it right) aren't hurting anyone, they're having fun. i was doing it earlier tonight, and every person that came in contact with me or i came in contact with we just smiled and shrugged it off or we make some other gesture to show it's accidental but if it happens then it does.

people that dance and hit people who are not involved in the pit need to fuck off though. there's a giant room and you can make the best of your space, randomly kicking unsuspecting people is retarded and i hate that.

the bottom is, if you get in the pit, you're putting yourself at risk, so don't fucking blame someone else for what you did to yourself.

I agree. the moshing isn't so bad for me, but the last thing i want to be doing is worry about getting kicked /hit in the back of the head while trying to watch the show. I understand that it takes coordination/balance/skill to do some of those moves, but honestly, it just looks stupid.

That's how I feel about it, and I'm not going to argue.

it all depends on the energy, i just go with the flow. i don't dance that much though, it gets me so tired.
