just saw blood diamond. i walked out with mixed emotions: the movie was great, but i fucking hated seeing what was (is) happening in africa.

I just read a ton of rumors/discussion regarding The Dark Knight (sequel to Batman Begins), and I'm loving what I'm hearing. The Joker's been confirmed as the main villain, and will be played by Heath Ledger (old news). It's being heavily rumored that the secondary villain will be the Penguin, who will play the role of a mob boss/arms dealer. Phillip Seymour Hoffman's apparently been offered the role, and I definitely like that choice. Lastly, Harvey Dent has also been confirmed as one of the new characters in the sequel, though Two-Face won't make an appearance. There should be a set-up though. Casting rumors include Liev Schreiber, Ryan Phillipe, and Jake Gyllenhaal. Basically, can't wait for this movie.

batman begins was awesome, I thought at least. Alot of my friends didnt like it but I thought it was sweet. The new one should kick ass.

There are plans for at least two more Shrek movies following Shrek The Third, including a Shrek 4, and a Puss In Boots spin-off. A new Transformers trailer is also set to be released next week.

Charlottes Web and Eragon come out on Friday. Work will be fucking crazy I bet.

Boondock Saints 2 is finally being funded, along with Troy Duffy's other movie, The Good King. I guess whichever gets fully funded first will be made first, but I am fucking excited.

every review i've seen read it was complete garbage and ripped off the storyline from "a new hope" in every way possible.

you cant steal the storyline from one of the greatest movies ever made.

To elaborate, the studio (I think it was Universal) dropped the movie because of disputes with Microsoft over the budget and box office revenue cuts. They also rejected the awesome, hardcore R-rating movie script written by Alex Garland, and hired a no name director whose most notable work is television commercials. Though, I'm not sure what the script/director status is now that Universal's dropped the movie.

Fake edit: It was actually announced today that the movie's now indefinitely on hold.

I never actually saw the script, rather a script review that was posted somewhere on Latino Review. I'll try to find that for you in a minute.
