Mr. Woodcock looks pretty good. Nothing like good old Billy Bob.

Venom looks pretty amazing.

Oh my god. That was one of the best battle scenes I've seen in a movie ever. Just pure fucking carnage.

I get to check out the movie on Monday - for free!

Not gonna lie, it's going to be awesome.

I guess there was just a bombastic trailer of Spider-Man III played at Comic Con a week ago, involving venom and spider-man kicking eachothers ass and Topher Grace praying to god to kill peter parker. Sounds dark as hell. Good direction.
Bobby
There's gonna be some commercial for Spiderman 3 tonight during Heroes. Maybe the same thing?
Jesse.

Wondercon, actually. And from what I read it showed some more Venom transformation footage, showed the mouth shot of Venom that was leaked a few months ago, and showed his hands strangling Peter. Something like that. And they switched "the darkness within" to "the venom within".

Edit: Not sure if this is the same footage I linked, 'cause it won't load for me.

Edit Deuce: Nope, but still cool. Judging from the leaked footage and this clip, they completely redid Venom. I think once all the effects are finalized, I'll prefer this version. Can't wait.

Tobey Maguire has confirmed the upcoming Spider-man 3 will be the last time he plays the superhero on the big screen. Co-star Kirsten Dunst has also said she feels the third film will be the last in the popular franchise. Maguire says, "To me it seems like this is a natural point for the team to break up because we have a lot of story conclusions that were going along for the main characters for the first two movies and we kind of tie almost everything up for the third movie. "It feels like a trilogy to me and it feels like the end." But moviemaker Sam Raimi isn't so sure that it's all over for the web-slinging movie hero. In a recent interview, the director stated he's seriously considering a fourth film. He explains, "I love Spider-Man and I love working with Kirsten, Tobey, James Franco)... I just have to make sure that when I'm done with Spider-Man 3, I'm really still fascinated with the character. At this moment I'm fascinated with him." But Raimi insists he couldn't imagine making a fourth installment if Maguire didn't sign on for it. He adds, "I couldn't imagine it."
Kid.
I read something along those lines too, but I don't think it'is an official statement that he's done with the franchise. I've read reports before that Raimi wants to do six movies, which would be awesome, but it's understandable that the actors would want out at a certain point.

yeah...but you have to consider how much freaking money is in it for the main actors if they stick with it...i mean, they're already making at least 10 million each a movie, and probably more...
bennifer
i hope it just stays at a trilogy. Why do they have to keep making movies until finally it comes-- the big shitty stale movie that no one ever wanted to see? And you know that will happen if they keep making them. You can go only so far with the story of Spider-Man.
Jesse.

true enough...based on how insanely awesome SM3 looks, i think they could pull off a fourth, depending on how many loose ends are tied up in this film...

Of course, but after such a successful series, I'm sure that the actors can move on to pursue other projects and still make bank without any trouble.

I get where you're coming from, but you know if they made a sixth movie, it'd likely feature the Sinister Six. How awesome would that be?

If you haven't seen The Cider House Rules, you should. It's his best movie (nominated for best picture).

He was also good in Pleasantville, and has a funny role in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Yea just see all of those movies.

i dont doubt it.

But a few years ago if you had said the name tobey macquire, nobody would be like oh yeh that guy from pleasentville. What a great actor

What happened to leaving 3 open at the end for Venom to star in 4? That's lame. I hope they pump up the amount of Venom in this one if it's gonna be the last. Also, does anyone know where you can watch the TV spot on Heroes from Monday?
Kid.
There was an extended (about 7 and a half minute) clip of that TV spot on NBC.com, but I guess it was a one day thing, 'cause it's down now.

Edit: Here you go.

Edit: In HD.

i'm excited to see him in a serious role

Dane Cook will always be a terrible comedian to me. Why did he go straight to a serious role, when his last movie was fucking garbage? He hasn't established anything as an actor yet, or even a comedian.

i don't think it's a case of him pushing the movies, rather, movies being pushed on him because he's such a cash cow for the majority of dumb america.

Wow. Fucking awesome.

Anyway, today me and a few of my friends had to go do some community service for my government class. When we got to the office where we volunteer, we noticed a shitload of movie trailers and film equipment. We asked one of the dudes working on the set what movie it was, and turns out it was Rob Zombie's Halloween. They were shooting a scene at a gunshop called "Buck-Eye Gun Emporium". I didn't get many details, but we hung out long enough to see Rob Zombie, Malcolm McDowell (Dr. Loomis), and the Michael Myers mask and knife. Seeing Rob and Malcolm was no big deal, but I was honestly starstruck by the mask. Some dude was carrying it around in his right hand on a plastic head, with two knives wrapped in a towel in his left. Of course, I'm an idiot, and didn't think to take any pictures until he'd wrapped it with a blue plastic bag. Anyway, I'll upload some shitty camera phone pictures I took of the set in a minute, so if you care, check for an edit.

The guy in the tenth picture wearing the striped sweater is Rob. Didn't manage to get any decent shots of Malcolm. Oh, and there was a bear in front of the shop wearing a little bandit-type mask over his eyes and holding a pumpkin bucket.

Yeah, that movie looks pretty decent, though I'm not a fan of Hilary Swank. Also, Sony needs to stop being gay and release that Spider-Man trailer online.

Chelsea, change your avatar.

Unlike many Saosin fangirls that have come here, you're tolerable and seem like you've good taste. HOWEVER, your avatar does not give off that impression especially with the DeviantArt-esque harted design avatar.

Please change it to something alcoholic, thanks.
