Whenever I see potential plot points or even minor spoilers for the Dark Knight on message boards and IMDB and whatnot, I just exit the fuck out of that window.
Seriously, when I walk in to the movie theater on that fateful day, I want to go in with basically zero preconceptions, and just be able to absorb all of the amazingness.

I follow pretty much the same philosophy only because sometimes the previews give out too fucking much information. I wish I didn't see that magazine cover.

Bale in the Prestige is one of the rare times i notice how good an actor is (beyond the obvious like pacino, etc.)

I think they only announced he'd star in it, not necessarily that he'd be John Connor.
At any rate, I feel like the movie will probably be a joke anyway. No Arnie? No Linda Hamilton? No James Cameron? Not to be an elitist fuck, but when you take away everything that made a movie great, what's really left?

Really, I liked terminator 3. Maybe it wasn't an amazing work of art or that great of a movie, but it really rolled great with the story line. It kept things moving, and I want to see how the story ends. I particurally loved the ending in the 3rd one when John Conor was like "By the time Skynet became self-aware it had spread into millions of computer servers across the planet. Ordinary computers in office buildings, dorm rooms; everywhere. It was software; in cyberspace. There was no system core; it could not be shutdown. The attack began at 6:18 PM, just as he said it would. Judgment Day, the day the human race was almost destroyed by the weapons they'd built to protect themselves. I should have realized it was never our destiny to stop Judgment Day, it was merely to survive it, together. The Terminator knew; he tried to tell us, but I didn't want to hear it. Maybe the future has been written. I don't know; all I know is what the Terminator taught me; never stop fighting. And I never will. The battle has just begun. " and they are like is anyone there and he picks up the phone.

If Bale is in it, it will probably be tight. Bale is usually pretty good at picking his roles. Reign of Fire. Batman. American Psycho. The Machinist. 3:10. Rescue Dawn. The Prestige.
The only bad movie i've seen him in was Equilibrium and I heard that one movie in which he plays a mexican is pretty over-the-top.
PS Reign of Fire is one of the most underrated movies of all time. Fucking Matthew McConaughey should have won an oscar for his role in this.

I agree with you, but I also see where John's coming from too. I think the first two movies were on a completely different scale, and in comparison, part three was a step down. I still like it though, and I'm looking forward to the new ones. Particularly if Christian Bale's involved.
Oh yeah and Harsh Times was amazingly gay. Good thing Eva Longoria was amazingly hot in it.

Dec 4 2007, 08:52 PM
To be honest, I don't think Jack Nicholson was a very good Joker. He basically just played a slightly more psychotic version of himself.
Heath Ledger's definitely got the Joker voice down, judging by the teaser, so I'm thinking he has a pretty good shot at nailing it.
