Trailer released today. The teaser for Tim Burton's new version can be seen
here.
It ironically looks as happy (if not happier) than the original from what I can tell, but the set design looks AMAZING.
WTF, looks like it was done by the same guy that did Cat in the Hat (*cough* looks ghey *cough). Back to plan B, bring in MANSON! Heck, both Mansons! Charlie Manson and the Chocolate Factory! HEHEHEH

this movie does interest me far more than most of the shit that some how gets produced.....id rather watch goodburger than 97% of the movies produced in the past 5 years
and has any one thought about this possibly being a sequel to Chocolat?

I mean, I personally thought minority report was excellent and solid. Not the most ulitmate movie ever but without any flaws. Well I hope that happens with one of the sweetest stories ever between Cruise and Steve again.
Wow...stoner tangent /
Ian
Dec 16 2004, 04:21 PM
Yeah minority report was solid. I've been reading war of the worlds forums and it seems the main concern (other than setting it in modern times) is that spielburg won't stick to the story, but im sure he will.

yea, as long as it messes w/your head, it will be good.
id like for it to explain more about the little girl and her wacko parents since the first one left kinda left you wondering what else was there.

I disliked the Ring because it wasn't scary at all. Rather than relying on actually scary techniques which gave the viewer a sense of doom, the movie relied too much on pop-up tactics which is a cheap scare. It pissed me off so no, I'm not excited at all.

I heard they were almost identical and that actually the American version was better in some ways. From what I've read, the only part that the American version doesn't do as well as Ringu is the part where the girl comes out of the TV...

Yeah I'm pretty sure this movie will be disappointing as hell. But hey, if it is, I'll just stare at Emily VanCamp.

I dont know, the first time i watched the ring was at my house at like 1 in the morning on a big screen in my living room, after the movie i watched sattelite and fell asleep. I woke up at like 3 in the morning to a black room with the big screen filled with static... so yea i would say the first one scared the living crap out of me. I think the second on will be ok, it couldnt be worse then "The Boogie Man"

The night I saw the Ring, I woke up in the middle of the night, and the drawers were out of my desk and the TV was gone. Yeah, I freaked out A LOT.
Then I remembered my older brother was home from college for the weekend, and he just took while I was sleeping.

the first time i watched ringu was at my best friend in america's house, and she's japanese. as soon as it was over and we flipped back to regular tv, her grandmother in japan called [so it was a japanese number on the caller ID]. it was amusing : )
