i know that he's slated to work on a remake of charlie and the chocolate factory, with Johnny Depp playing Willy Wonka.


all i know is that Tim Burton has got to be my favorite director. his movies are so dark, i love it.

dude it looks cool, i saw the preview for it at fry's, lol i went to buy a tv and it was there, i was like ive never seen this movie and i started watching it and it said director tim burton, and i was like ohh it must b e good, but yeah i want to see it,

i saw the full theater preview, i was confused out of my mind, therefore it looks good. i'll be seeing it.

Looks neat. Burton is brilliant. Dumb title though.

and it's not a remake... it's just another adaption of the book, (there's a difference before anyone jumps on my case saying it's the same thing) which is said to be considerably darker than the movie was that was based on it.

Which is exactly the reason that Burton and Depp are perfect for the movie

if its called charlie and the chocalate factory then it would make sense since the first movie was willy wonka and he gave the factory to charlie, and now that charlie is old hes probobly giving it to another kid, who knows it might just be a remake, but i saw the movie last night

actually i think the book was originally titled Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.... ::shrug:: i'm probably wrong. and i also heard it's supposed to be darker. i'll go apeshit if there are oompa loompas wearing ass-less chaps and whipping each other to work harder.

The book is called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. The movie is called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory because the director or Dahl wanted it to be politically correct, and charlie is a slang name for white people... They also changed the oompa loompas from african pigmee indentured servants (book) to little orange men in the movie to be more politically correct the movie is a remake that is based on the book, as the original movie is a musical loosely based on the book if you guys have read it. the new movie wont be a musical and its gonna have the white pigmee servants as oompa loompas (Its my fav movie i know all about it :oops: )

im ean johnny is awesome i freakin love him. but him as wonka? i dont know i will have to see. he doesnt seem to be that silly. ii mean he can be silly (pirates in the carriebean) but can he pull off a silly happy wonka character person?
