I am making a shirt, and I am sick of the regular print and iron on... so I wanted to know if any of you have tried silk screening and I wanted to know what it is and what you do.
Lucas
its pretty cool

it takes a fair amount of practice

im not very good at it yet

but when you get good

its one of the best ways to make shirts

ask tyson

he's good at it

my friend is making me a black styx t shirt with their silhouettes on it in white using silk screening... shes pretty good at it.... if you dont know how to do it you can fuck up alot of shirts learning how.

you spread this light sensitive goo on the shirt and then shine the light via projector onto the shirt/ goo and it burns the image into the shirt.. .anyways
carrie
Cool, I made this design thing for a shirt and I don't feel like buying another shirt to waste with printing and ironing(Even if they cost like 4 bucks)... so yeah.

HEY TYSON... WANT TO HELP ME?

edit: conversation1, thanks... maybe I'll try it out. Do you know how much it costs to get the stuff? Not counting the projector, of course.

Cool website. Thanks.

But I spend too much time on photoshop, I may as well do something with the mediocre shit I make.

1.) there's more there then hoodies: t-shirts, ski jackets, purses, etc
2.) you can do more then just a line of text
3.) im a loser so i'm going to use hot topic as a scapegoat.

whatever...i just don't think its as cool as if it comes completely from you, your idea, your design, your handiwork, your finished product....something you can be proud of....
shit stain
instead of investing your money in silkscreening...invest it in recording music!

Exactly, it's something fun to do... and no one else has it.
