Yea I also remember going to a crappy recreation center in westminster to see them, and they got stuck in traffic and they just played their ep and wouldnt let them play 20 minutes later than scheduled. Fuck rec centers and their "we close at 11" crap.

I love Brandon's voice, its power yet very emotional i think. i love them.I remember walking up to the smart punk stage at vegas warped and seeing them right beofre saosin and i was amazed, they have such an intense live show.

I like these guys but it seems that the vocalist sings the same general notes/melodies. I guess i would have to hear the songs more but upon my first listen of the ep all the songs kinda seem to run together......This is my thought crime is my personal favorite song, very nice.

I was listening to When We Sleep We Breathe today and I just had to bring back this thread. The music is great but I completely agree with gordonlovesu's post. My brother played the first ep for me for the first time this past weekend. In between songs, I imitated his singing style in jest and told my cousin, "That's how he sings on all of the songs." Sure enough, when the next song started, it sounded just like what I sang and my cousin started cracking up. Even though I joke about it, I still love the guy's voice and it's hard for me to believe that someone could sing that high in their register through a whole set with as much emotion as he does, and refrain from sounding like a castratto.

One more thing. The breakdown in WWSWB at about 2:56 is worth owning this ep in itself.

anyways, this band is amazing. i saw them about a month ago and met a few of them. they're cool ass dudes they are.

i definetely lived and breathed on ships of relations last winter. they keep getting better and better which is awesome.

I remember when they only had 2 tracks online...man they are so good.

i don't understand the posts about his voice. why wouldn't he sound the same? Ant does, every singer does. Are you looking for more variation in his pitch/range/octaves? IMO i think he plays all across his personal zone. That may be a good thing, maybe when he leaves his trained range his voice goes to shit?

the screaming is the exact same though every time. but it doesnt stand out.

man these guys are soo cool, i used to sit next to brandon in grahic design during my freshmen year, he was always joking about something, he's way cool...and i got to go to a local show in temecula for exodus clothing, it was a nice little show, not some huge ass crowd....i really wanna see em again though

i saw em at the 04 warped tour while milling around waiting for another band to come on a nearby stage. they put on an excellent live show, they sound like they are on the studio when the play, and their guitarest is black. awesome.

wow, these two new songs are absolutely horrible.

i love how he holds high notes. i dont really like this new stuff as much as when we speak we breathe, but its cool. when i saw them at chain they turned the entire venue pretty much into one giant pit on our lucid dream. pretty fucking amazing

how can u not think this new shit doesnt absolutly rule... ive watched them over the last three years just get better and better and for all you thinking their ship of relations was amazing.. im sorry its not really that good. they were like 16 then and just demo there songs. learn to love their new shit because that is what is going to be expected and it fucking rules. To the Readers is one of my ALL time favorite songs
