I'm probably not even going to finish my program. I'll be working on my own shit by then. Plus I have a sweet day job that will look great on any resume, so I'm good.

Apr 13 2009, 09:27 AM
Where do you work Scott?
ASU might charge each student a $1200 "surcharge" next year. That's like $70 million! Are we honestly that fucked?

Apr 13 2009, 09:32 AM
Wow.
As an independent contractor for my family's architectural firm. I do graphics, drafting, and surveys.

Apr 13 2009, 09:34 AM
Haha, suckers. I go to a community college that allows you to check out $150,000 worth of equipment for a $100 deposit.
Bobby
Apr 13 2009, 09:36 AM
Just kidding, Scott. I knew that from the last hundred times I've asked ha
And it's not the money that pisses me off, it's the fact that we're supposed to have a set tuition due to AZ law. So instead of raising tuition, they throw on these surcharges. Sneaky bastards.

Bobby
Apr 13 2009, 09:43 AM
Naw, it makes sense for your program. But going to community college comes with the ridicule of it.
And I dunno man, if this surcharge goes through, I'll be paying about $600 to go to ASU. Not too bad.

Otherwise I'd be paying out the ass for a bunch of theory and not using any equipment. Super gay.

Probably the best schedule I've gotten so far:
Chinese Language M T W Th 11:10 - 12:00 PM
European Cultural Pro-seminar M W 2:10 - 3:30 PM
Macroeconomcis M W 3:40 - 5:00 PM
The Body As Text T Th 5:10 - 6:30 PM
No Friday classes and don't have to wake up early than 10, with all four classes being stuff that I'm genuinely interested in (well maybe not Chinese so much, but oh well). Sweet.
