I just raped the PSAT. Seriously.

I was so worried that there would be tons of shit I wouldn't know. Though it was pretty much all simplistic algebra 1, geometry, vocabulary, comprehension, and some sentence reconstruction.

Some parts are shaky, but for the most part, I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Im glad i had the old SAT. There was easy shit on there like greater than and less than.
It being so easy and me scoring high on it is what probably got me into college. I screwed off my first 2 years of highschool and my GPA and grades were not so impressive

im in maryland right now in my bedroom, getting ready for college.

I went to the college of William & Mary my first year of college (2 semesters).

But I wasnt happy with various things there, so i transfered to community college here locally. But Im going to go to either University of Maryland @ College Park or possibly Salisbury

oh okay "got me into college" not like, a top-tier or anything, tho william and mary is actually pretty good wow holy shit wait you're my age.

im not bragging or anything because i wasnt comfortable there. Its a great school and all and looks good on a resume, but it just wasnt for me. I didnt like the professors who were teaching my major...nor did i agree with some of their personal beliefs that were bleeding through into class.


My GPA going into my junior year was like 2.50. But i straightened up and by the end of my Senior year i was pushing a 3.84 unweighted with some college credits from my AP classes.
But i scored a 1560/1600 on my SAT the second time i took it. The first time i took it I got a 1200 or something around that number.

So what really pushed my ass into college is the fact that admissions could see i was busting my arse to score high GPA wise and also SAT wise

i mean admissions officers love straight a's but they also love progress, i.e. constant gpa growth. it shows a lot more personality and growth, especially with such a sweet SAT score, i mean, you can still go to a better school, what's keeping you in maryland

the only reason i'm at CMU is because i had a fucking amazing college essay, and an even better interview. i slacked off and drifted through high school, which isn't a good idea when you're doing such an intensive program (fucking IB diploma), so my GPA was pretty shot. i did pretty well on my SATs and was well-involved with my band and drama though, so i guess that helped. but the interview really was where i charmed my way into CMU.

Basically im still in maryland because I just like the location. 25 min from DC, 15 minutes from annapolis, 15 minutes from baltimore. Where ever I go I just need to be close to a major city. I dont fare well in a rural enviroment. Ive grown up surrounded by a plethora of developing cities and communities, which means things are always changing and ever busy. I need that enviroment. I dont like to be in a slow-paced place whenI feel as though i need to be moving quickly.
Dont get me wrong, i am the first person you will see who wants to relax in the hot tub with some friends or just cuddle with a girlfriend. It just doesnt work for me when i want to achieve something

so why not......columbia? UCLA? somewhere in san fransisco where your fashion sense and sexual preference are more accepted? i only kid. but there are plenty of good schools in great cities.

you never do as good as you think on standardized tests, especially the SAT and PSAT. It doesn't test if you know the material, it tests if you can read questions correctly. The majority of the math questions are trick questions, they make it seem they want something (in which they offer the answer if you were to do it that way) but they actually want something totally different. So unless you caught the trick question, you probably got it wrong.
on my SATs i balled the math because i knew this, i got up in the 750s, my reading is what pulled me down to the 1100 area.

Ive looked into moving out west and thats definately an option for when i go to apply for college ..again.

But at the same time, i have some friends here whom I would like to move in with. We are house shopping as we speak.

I want to move out with my 3 friends, whom are like brothers to me, mostly out of the necessity for them to move out. My one friend is practically homeless and there are just other issues with the 4 of us at home where we really need to leave for the sake of our sanity (and for some of us, our health).

Its one of those situations you wouldnt understand unless you were in it.
