the best part about strung out is how their music sounds like complete and total shit. The way it takes no talent at all just brings a tear to my eye

Did anyone get this CD today? Its a good CD in my opinion... a lot of neat guitar work on it and stuff even if its nothing totally new. One of the better CDs to come out this year to me.
i agree with you.
i haven't decided if i like it better than EOSD though...
oh, and you can expect maybe 2 more people to post in this thread, because people here are stupid.

I like it better then EOSD and American Paradox or whatever its called and its cool if people post in this thread... as long as its about the CD and nothing else.
AAP sucked.
i'm just saying that there's like ...2 other people who like strung out here.

wait, it came out today.....
i thought it came out next week. I'm sick of my low quality, clean versions of the songs, aaron, im me right now.
On a side note, I think this CD is really damn good, overall a very solid cd
it's actually a clean cd. that part of swan dive isn't an edit, it's just a mess-up thing on the track.

Nov 2 2004, 04:54 PM
you sure, that sounds like a blatent smudging of vocals.....
oh well, i'll go see if there are any at the warehouse by me
sorry my mistake. upon further listening he definitely says:

It's one thing having an opinion on the band, but judging their fans is just wrong. It's generalising. I could say that all Saosin fans are emo scenesters and look like this:

The song is good. I haven't listened to this band in awhile. I remember seeing them when I was 14. Strung Out, nufan, lagwagon, good riddance, craig's brother and big wig were my favorite bands back then. I'm 22 now and it's crazy that they're still making decent music.

The seventh album from one of the best punk bands to still be playing and
touring today. I hope they never break up like all of the other bands that
got me into punk back in high school. But even if they do break up, this
album is one hell of a great way to go out. If you buy any punk rock cd
this year make it this one.

I've been listening to Exile In Oblivion again lately, and holy hell that album is still amazing. Not a weak track on a 14 song album.
Still one of my favorite albums of the 00's.

Hi let's get married.
I go on month long Strung Out binges all the time. They're definitely one of my biggest influences in my songwriting (and one of my drummers biggest influences in drumming).
I thought Blackhawks was pretty weak at first, but I've grown to love it. Definitely not as good as Exile, but lots of awesome songs with incredible instrument work. The thing that really turned me off at the start were the guitar solos. They don't fit the mood of the songs, but now I don't care. Mission Statement and Diver are two of the coolest songs ever.
Looks like I'm going on another month long binge.
