.... how do u get the music on your computer to mix???
you mix them manually with programs.
one of the methods I used to use was this. I got a specific sound card that received an input from my amp. Then I just directly recorded into a mixing program. (and considering the HANDFUL of stuff out right now you can get anything. a lot of good programs for cheap)
even with a band, although you would have to do single recording (which is what a lot of bands do once they have the funding. else you would do a "live recording" like my band did where it was live time and all of us together minus the vocals which i did later. I like it that way for the fact of energy) but it gets the job done. anything (like a dat track, etc. even a bloody tape recorder you can output to your computer even through the mic input but the sound quality sucks) can be used as a recording device. it's all about how much money you want to spend, how complex you want to get, and the sound quality you are looking for.
I cannot stress this enough as it applies to many things in life. Although you CAN get a satifactory recording for something like a demo cheap, for something of GOOD quality you will have to spend the money.
