I don't know if anyone here is a Stars Hide Fire fan, but their lead singer was recently 'dismissed' from the band by the other members. Now, one would assume he was causing trouble, doing drugs, or there was some justifiable reason for kicking him out, right? NOPE.

"Effective immediately I am no longer the singer for Stars Hide Fire. After meeting with the guys in the band they informed me that THEY have decided to replace me with another singer. In short the reason that was given is that some labels and agents have told them that I'm not "marketable" enough, to make the band successful."
How is this guy not marketable? He's not your typical white lead singer, he has a unique voice, and an awesome stage presence.

This is complete and utter bullshit. He was what drew me to the band's music. His stage presence is what drew me to their live shows. The rest of the singer's letter can be found on Absolute Punk The rest of the band refuses to comment or justify the situation, which basically confirms what he said is true.

Even if you never heard of them, I'm sure you have an opinion on the actions of the band. They basically sold out so they can become another generic, marketable band like Simple Plan.

i quit my last band because of this reason.
there are some things you need to concede in terms of image and writing style, but to give up your identity is something entirely different.

this guy gave me a sticker at warped......i didnt watch them because I thought they sucked, however he was really kind......sucks for him
