i got through being cool when it came out in like 1999 when i went to virgin records in NYC, it has been a fav for awhile, my brother gave the cd away to his friend in like 2000 or 2001, but shoulder to the wheel has been one of my favorite songs of all time
appriciated
(i think im seeing them at the bamboozle, if they are infact the surprise band)

Through being cool is very good, but I'd have to say that Stay what you are has the edge on it. I like In Reverie also, but its got a different sound. Chris's voice is all high as shit, it took me a while to get into it.
All I remember is listening to "Shoulder to the Wheel" in my first car at 16, a 91 Hyundai Sonata (before Hyundai's were cool or reliable). Don't worry I fell asleep at the wheel and crashed that fucker. OH yeah and Saves was in my cd player when I did...

Favorite memory of Saves The Day has to be going to one of their shows when they played with Taking Back Sunday here in Tucson and I started a circle pit during Firefly. So hardcore.

ive seen them a solid 4 or 5 times now. each time was a treat.
the last time i saw them, everyone was saying they were horrible live and only played the new album. well they played like 3 or 4 songs and then just hammered out almost everything from their previous albums. great show. chris looked coked up though.

I saw them last year and it was so awesome. They played about 20 songs and only 3 of them were from In Reverie. Probably the best show I've seen by them.

i never really got into that much, but i do like them. Through Being Cool is a pretty good cd, but i like Stay What You Are a little more. In Reverie is weird, but its good, like that b-side off it, Blossom, a lot. and i havent even heard their first cd.

from savestheday.com: The Album Soon To Come
Yo, Holmes! How goes it out there? We are holed up in a rehearsal studio near an airport, pounding out new songs for your listening enjoyment. The actual recording process is fast approaching. By early Summer, we will be knee deep in microphone cables and ribbons of recording tape. If all goes well, we will have an album of twelve to fourteen new tunes for you to dissect and delight in, out in the early Fall. The songs are aggressive, up beat, melodic, and filled with fire. We feel good about things. The songs are angry and they want to tell you all about it. Somehow, the album's mood goes well with the gathering Black Clouds that circle the Globe. The world is poised to explode in both good and bad ways. Somehow the songs are feeling the heat. And we are very excited to lay them down on tape so they can wiggle their way into your ears.
The train is calling in the distance, through the open sliding glass door. The sun creeps in through the soft lush leaves. It is a pleasant day in Saves The Day land. We miss playing music with you guys out there. Soon as Summer ends, we will be touring the country, to come sing with you. We can celebrate being alive. Let's freak out before we die! We'll wear Chinese hats and Rooster Red Shoes. We can lay on the sidewalk beneath the sinking blue moon. Throw matchbook airplanes into the setting sun. Stare into the distance and wonder what lies beyond. Hope you all are doing well. Chris here, signing out. Nothing left to tell. "
and steve evetts is supposed to produce their new CD, he did CSD and TBC. that is great news. although i am saddened to hear about Eben leaving, because he was awesome, i am still really pumped for this new CD. In Reverie was good, just in its own way.

do you honestly belive saves the day has more talent than the whole grind/metal/noise genre?
you need to learn alot more about music theory, composition and music as an art form if you truly truly belive so.

i was reading a scientific magazine the other day and it was talking about the shittiest music in history and i think (dont quote me exactly on this) the top 5 was like ace of base, grind/metal/noise, homeless people playing the kazoo, that band with the parrot, and slipknot. you cant argue with science. it would be retarded if you think you knew more about scientists. end of discussion.
