Best tv-show of the last couple of years. Why doesn't this board have a thread about it? This show is absolutely fucking brilliant, and the finales are coming up soon. One more regular episode and then its like 3 hours of finale goodness and I am soo excited, can't wait to see what happens..

It makes me so mad that every show is just leading us to the same ending of not finding anything out. What the hell is even going on? I want some answers or something.

i saw the first episode and then forgot about it... everyone loves it, so i sorta wish i'd stayed with it.

Alias is on right after it, so sometimes I catch the last minute or so... I never really bothered to figure out what it was about though

my AP lit teach adores this show, talks about it every thursday with people about what he noticed and what they noticed and stuff...it sounds really cool, but i missed the begining so im gonna wait until it goes to DVD and watch that shizzle straight through...

No, what I mean is that why are some people alive-dead, and some people dead-dead? Howcome Boone died, if he was already dead? How are people sick... if they are dead? How do people get hurt if they are dead? They better explain it really well.

I just watched it tonight, and I'm still in awe haha.. I'm been hearing mixed things from people now, some loved it, some hated it. I personally loved it, every second of it. I don't think I've ever seen anything better on tv. I could talk forever, but I won't..

So, anybody watch it?

I saw it, I wish they would explain more, because ever since the very first episode, instead of solving anything, they just leave you with more questions.

That's what makes it so great, the mystery. In my eyes, at least.

How coukd you say it was anticlimatic? There was a HUGE climax: we'd all been waiting for that fuckig hatch to open up since like halfwaythrough the season? But I guess it depends on how you look at it: personally the opening of it was enough for me. I'm sure there is so much more to the island, and this was a perfect end for a season. I can't wait for it to start again, I mean, the first episode will be killer :]

ill watch it if they start it over in the summer or release it on DVD

Anyone want to explain to me what happened in that first season. I havent seen one episode so i have no clue whats going on. and please explain to me what all this talk about a mysterious hatch is all about.

Uhh, just buy the dvd box. Trust me, it's totally worth it.
Besides, it's too hard to explain. I don't think you could really appreciate the show if I'd would just quickly tell you what happened, and then you start watching the show tonight.

A plain crashed. People survived. Weird things happen on the island they're on, like there is some sort of "guarding-system"/dinosaur/aliens/wedontknowwtfitis. Nobody comes to rescue them. People got in fights a lot. Everybody has dirty secrets they don't want the other survivors to know about. Locke (best character on the show) finds a weird kind of hatch, and we still don't know what it is or where the hell is leads (it's by far the weirdest thing on the show). People die. There are other people ALREADY on the island. And in the final episode they open the hatch. Also, they've made a boat and a few guys decide to go look for help or something, and after a while on the ocean there's a bunch of weirdos that take one of the men's kid that he brought with him on that boat, and they set the boat on fire. They also shoot someone on the boat.

I watched Lost and that Destination: Lost thing last night. I'm already considering purchasing the season 1 box set.

A friend of mine thinks the island is purgatory.

i got season one on dvd and watched it over the period of like a week. amazing. i watched it from 2 pm to 10 pm last night \m/

the purgatory thing might be somewhat valid. everyone has done something wrong, so it makes sense. that might also explain why boone died. he was doing something truely heroic

in terms of what is ACTUALLY going on on the island, i think desmond was part of rousseu's (sp) team. the injection he gave himself might be what is keeping him from giving in to whatever sickness she keeps talking about. i was thinking about it because jack met him in the stadium, but you really have no sense of when that happened and when desmond got to the island...

Boone is Shannon's half-brother and he died when Locke and Boone were exploring and found an airplane stuck in the woods somewhere. Boone went into the plane, because Locke couldn't walk well atthat time, and when Boone was in there he found a working radio. What he hears ON the radio, I'm not gonna post here, but after that plane crashes.

He dies of his injuries later.

Ok I just watched the new episode (whoa, awesome), and I would like to point this out:

I hate how I always get sucked into watching it, but it really pisses me off that we never find anything out. Until yesterdays episode, nothing was being revealed, and it is fruuustraaating.

Desmond who "almost became a doctor" is probably involved in a medical experiment and the quarantine on the inside of the door indicates that his space is the safe zone and that the entire island is that which is quarantined. The strong magnetic field is probably used to disrupt technology that might detect the island

I don't know what it means. But the fact that Hurley's numbers, all added up, are painted on that guy's wall... that's weird. I don't know what to do with it.

I'm picking this episode apart right now with some people, there is SO much hidden stuff again, it's insane.
