this game is so intense but what the FUCK is wrong with these refs
Stevesy.
Wow, Flyers win the game on a ridiculous horseshit penalty call.

I completely agree. A penalty in overtime must be something that is a game changing play. That was a deciding game and a trip at the blue line, it would not have led to much more than a dump in. That was a joke.
stace
joffrey lupul obviously gave the refs 5 blowjobs before the game.

this is not okay, you had to have been blind to have not caught that interference. i guess that's why the commentators were noting that these refs were "veteran" refs.
kill on command.
it's a shame the caps didn't win, my playoff beard is getting a little ridiculous.
adam.
i missed it because i was out playing hockey, but i caught the sound of the goal on the radio.

shitty deal, if the call went the other way (this is me presuming, considering i haven't seen it yet) everyone would've gone off about a crosby v. OV conspiracy by the league.

a little russ for ya...(jerking off motion)

i believe it's going to be the Pens vs. the Sharks in the cup finals. Pens over the stRangers. Canadiens over the Flyers. Pens over Canadiens in 6.
Avs over the redwings, Sharks over the the Stars, sharks sweep the avs.
Stevesy.
My second round:

East:
Pens over Rangers in 6
I almost said 5 games but I was hesitant. Rangers have played well, but they're going to have to rely heavily on their annoying pseudo-trap this series, and nothing can kill the trap more than clutch players like Malkin, Hossa, and Crosby. Lundy is gonna have to play out of his mind to even make this a series. He will, and that's why it'll go 6.

Canadiens over Flyers in 5
Canadiens are just too much for the Flyers. They get goals from everywhere and I think taking Boston to Game 7 was a bit of a hangover on their part. They'll shake it off this round. The Flyers are going to have to change their game considerably from how they played the Caps. There is no one main player for them to zero in on defensively. Also the Flyers haven't been the spitting image of discipline lately, and that will kill you if you have to be on the PK at all against the Habs. They won't be able to take leads and sit on them like they did against the Caps. Look for the Flyers to get utterly dominated in Game 1.

West:
Wings sweep the Avs
Why? Because I fucking hate the Avalanche. That's why.

Stars over Sharks in 7
Stars are looking incredibly solid right now. Turco is playing very well and finally won himself a playoff series. Sharks didn't do so hot against Calgary but I think they turn it on against the Stars and make this the best series of the second round.

briere is hot or cold, i agree, and his play recently (coughing up the puck with no pressure on him and whatnot) hasnt been too great, but i dont really remember him taking any dives this series...and how is trading for biron last season a 'lucky' move?
Stevesy.
Briere is always hot and cold, but he's so fucking clutch you learn to take the good with the bad. He may be a little bitch, but it's because he's good at drawing penalties and sending it top shelf "where mama hides the cookies" as RJ would say.

Apparently when the Rangers are done, Sean Avery is going to be working as an unpaid intern at Vogue Magazine this summer. He's obsessed with fashion?

QUOTE
Avery, who makes $2 million a year with the Rangers and has cavorted with starlets since his days with the Los Angeles Kings, initiated the contact with Vogue editor Anna Wintour. "He is ridiculously obsessed with fashion," Avery's publicist Nicole Chabot told ABCNews.com. "He loves it more than anything in the world. It's something he has always wanted to do."

Chabot admits Avery is an agitator in the "old-style" of hockey and a "blabber mouth," but off ice the player is "surprisingly articulate, creative and savvy," she said. He's also charming, she noted. "There is not a woman that doesn't fall in love with him in five minutes."

This guy is such a fucking joker.

hate him as much as you want but truth is he's a very valuable player and any team would love to have him.

I want to shake Marty Brodeur's hand for not shaking that clown's hand. I don't mind people being physical forces, fighters, or someone that sticks to the opposing teams skilled players, but he disgust me the way he plays.

Obviously. He's got a goal scorers touch and he can pester anyone into committing penalties. I'd love him in a Sabres uniform.

I don't have to be objective though, he's a fucking Ranger and he's a huge douchebag. Sue me for disliking the guy.

i'm just glad i don't have to hear Huet's name anymore.

i always think they are giving his initials or something, "U.A. is swiss cheese!!"
Stevesy.
Didn't he actually go on record before leaving the Habs, saying his name was pronounced 'Hyoo-ette'?

I think RJ said something like that during a Habs-Sabres broadcast, and from then on he always said his last name like that and I heard others do it too. But now it's back to people saying 'Hyoo-ay'.
stace
cristobal huet is a sweet name though.

and now that the caps are out, it's all about the pens. 2 goals in 14 seconds, amazing.

Dude not even cool. My friend had that happen to him, now he's playing at some bum school. Berard is lucky he can still see out of it tho.
Sidney is great for the game. I agree he does go down pretty easy for being the best skater in the league.

He was wearing one. In fact it created more of a problem because the blade couldn't get out cleanly and that's what caused the injury.

sidney haters are annoying, calling out on him for "embellishing." and i agree, he is definitely the best player in the league, although ovechkin is godly as well. they're both different players though, so i can't really compare, but they are both awesome in their playing style.

proof why crosby rules (goddddamn at :12)

not to mention, crosby is single and 20 (!!!), which makes my point seem biased, but that's a different story.

saw that coming, but i promise you, i knew of the caps before people even started making a big deal out of them this year. i used to figure skate and practically lived at the rink and so i would be around a lot of hockey players and i knew of the caps even then.

and i'm not dumb enough to choose the rangers over the pens, IFHSA

I really think he gets called out for it a lot mostly because he is always in on the play and always getting behind the defensemen therefore he gets mugged a shit ton and then, yeah maybe he embellishes as he pleases. They've got to do something to him or this kid is going to score 80 goals a season, and more power to him to make sure the refs know it when he's getting robbed. But really, every player embellishes when they get a chance. You have to, it's part of the game. There's an art to it, and players like Crosby and your boy Briere have it down pat. I can't hate on that.
jon.
Plus Crosby is pretty much the biggest name in the NHL so he's going to be under the microscope at all times which means a lot of attention will be brought to even the smallest thing he does.

Anyways, here are some great Crosby signs from a game versus Philly.
