Hi everyone!
A long time ago, well in retrospect, a short time ago I was in a band called Kid Innocence.
We broke up in August of 2007, before we were ever able to release our record.
However, since then I have been working on a project called Via Coma, and this is our first release that I'm proud to share with all of you.
Here is a download link of our EP and I'd love if you'd check it out and send me a message letting me know what you think. Compliments, criticism (constructive of course), whatever it is. Please let me know.
Thanks

Rob

naw, we actually switch off for the most part, haha. The one song on there "Memory Lane" has each of us singing a verse/bridge 'cause we were thinking of the lyrics as almost four different stories that came together at the end

i tweaked it a little. and added a master EQ and all that mumble jumble. I posted a link to DL it in the recording thread.
The only thing I'm not too happy about is the snare, but there wasn't much I could do since it was a shitty tracking. The toms are decent but could be better.

hm, so it seems over all there's room for improvement in the flyer, my one friend said too many font colors for one.
so far i'm looking at making the "Theory II" stand out a bit better and changing the 'vote' and 'to open up for' to the same color.
Any other suggestions on how to make it better/less ugly? lol
Ddjembe Mutombo
Aug 30 2009, 12:22 PM
just the whole thing looks unprofessional. font choice, image edges, alignment, no color scheme... the list goes on.
Chris O'Neil
Aug 30 2009, 07:46 PM
So i took advise from some people on how to make the flyer/banner better and this what i got. You guys probably still wont like it all that much, but it think it serves the purpose i want it to while looking appealing (my opinion i guess, lol)
Uncle Fundip
Aug 30 2009, 08:02 PM
While it's much better, I still think it's awkward having your band name listed three different ways on the flyer.
Ddjembe Mutombo
Aug 30 2009, 08:18 PM
is the google part necessary?
Also I don't think including the facebook link is necessary either. I would just include a myspace link. I don't know anyone who goes to facebook to listen to music. The top part looks a little better. You should download some new fonts.
Chris O'Neil
Aug 30 2009, 08:38 PM
i know it's weird having the band name spelled three different ways, but i just think that main logo looks better with the roman numeral 'two'
and while i do agree that people do go to myspace to listen to music, facebook seems to be dominating over myspace so i figured if they liked us they'll take the time to become a fan on facebook
and the more i think about it, it seems that i really don't need the google thing any more, it was mainly to just promote and get views for
this video, which doesn't seem to be an issue and more

yeah i didnt mean for a specific show, just whether you regularly tour out our way. we traditionally run a pattern up through boston, nh, maine, and then south to connecticut and nyc. just curious because if you guys do make it to eastern ny/ nh we could hook up some shows. take care.

josh and I finished up writing 2 instrumentals today. The first one is gonna be a single, it just has it written all over it. the guitars alone sound like a mix of northstar's 2nd disc, the format's first disc, and starting line's first disc.
the second instrumental sounds like a mix of clarity j.e.w., chase this light j.e.w., and siamese dream smashing pumpkins... with added say it like you mean it starting line.
Both songs have incredible bridges. the first song's bridge is just a constant build with a pretty tight clean riff and the second song's bridge switches into 6/8 and half time. It also has the sweetest branson riff ever constructed. fuckin nuts.
edit: we are going to start working on them as a full band tomorrow.
Chris O'Neil
Sep 26 2009, 08:40 AM
