just watched 40 year old virgin for liek the 15th time... movies sort of lose their appeal when your able to quote every single funny line from a movie

One of the coolest fucking movies ever. French, and full of interesting characters.

oooh i am not a fan of foriegn films... i watched this one portuguese one once and i have no idea what was really going on... the only thing i concluded at the end was that they really liked riding bikes and their dad was an alcoholic or something

maybe that seems like im close minded... but i like my movies in a language i understand.. and readint subtitles just ruins movies for me

im sorry that one shitty film ruined foreign films for you altogether. Honestly though it's not like you've seen one shitty American movie.

well im not saying foreign films are hopeless .. i DID watch das boot (i think thats right) once and that actually wasnt to bad.. i think foreign films with action speak to me more... anything romantic or whatever wouldnt capture my attention... but i guess same goes for american movies to.

This movie you'd like then. It to date holds the cup as far as most special effects in a French film. I mean come on it's tagline is "Some people follow their dreams. Others steal them."

well since it comes to highly recommended by you perhaps i will rent it if i ever happen to stumble upon it.. ill try anything once

It was good and pretty funny.

its bad. 3/4 of the way through it is so boring. its like an hour and forty-five minutes of a "My Name Is Earl" rip-off.

cause i just want to talk about how traumatic it was for me as a little kid..

ok so at the beginning of the movie the kid is hiding from like his adoptive parents who are mega hillbillies and super ugly... and then all of a sudden they all pop out from behind trees with their gapped-tooth smiles.. and start singing some song..

now this may not seem scary but as a child i could never ever get past this part. and it was at the beginning of the movie. it actually took me like 6 or 7 times before i ever gathered the courage to perservere and sit through it.. mind you i was like 6

afraid i cant remember much of it.

i wish i could remember. all i remember is a lighthouse and crappy animation...
