Just got done watching The Departed with Matt Damon, Leo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, and Alex Baldwin (might be a differentBaldwin, anyways, the only good Baldwin.) It was AMAZING! It was totally Movie of the Year quality.

I forgot to post, I watched Little Miss Sunshine earlier. I really liked it, Steve Carel is great, like always. The only problem is, it slows down at the end. I'd recommend it to anyone that likes dark comedies though.
About to watch Ultraviolet, and my hopes are pretty low. Probably another movie that makes me wish I rented Equilibrium again.
and finally...
Can someone tell me which is better: Munich or Syriana? Those were my two I was going to rent next, just not sure what to get first.

It's mostly crap so far, cgi is horrible for using the green screen on every scene, the acting is worse, action is alright though. I stopped at 30minutes though, I need to get some sleep.

I think that's what it was called. I snuck in with my friends cause we found a bunch of other friends from school watching it. It was ok. Remember the Titans still owns that movie by miles.

The Descent.
Watching it in the dark was a bad idea. I want only British filmmakers to make horror movies from now on.
ok. i downloaded this based on your reply to it. i thought it was kinda boring. not scary at all. i mean, sure a jump here and there, but scared.. no. no "horror" film has ever scared me. maybe that is why i am so hard on them. i mean i am waiting for the movie that really has me, like.. freaked out. anyway. it is definitely better than 95% of the "horror" films i have seen in the last 4 years. i liked the idea. definitely gory. but i still just wanted it to end. then the end came. not expecting something like at all... plus, i have no idea what it means. fuck. i am starting a movie discussion thread so we can talk about movies. so look out for that, and help me understand what the fuck the end was all about.
edit: lets talk about it
here.

Well, finished Ultraviolet finally. Makes me wonder how the movie sucked so bad. I'd seriously rate it around a 2/10, 1 point for Mila in tight spandex the whole time, and 1 more for, well, guess it would just be a 1/10.

Yeah. I recently watched "The Game" with Michael someone and Sean Penn. It was really good. No doubt one of the best movies I've ever seen. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to stretch their brain muscles. I also saw "Braveheart" with Mel Gibson. Also probably his best movie ever. Again, I saw "The Green Mile" and was completely blown away. Very sad though... By the way, This is my first post, so...

I watched Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind. It was sort of a chick flick, but that's okay with me. It was extremely good.
I also watched American Pie: Naked Mile. It had a few funny parts, but they weren't that consisted, and had the expected ending, but it's a comedy, how much can you ask for. Oh yes, and there are plenty of titties.

Gladiator isn't really a chick flick, the romance isn't the main part of the movie, just a sub-part. In Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, it's based on Clementine's and Joel's relationship, and complications thereof.

Now I know you're just making shit up. Gladiator's probably the greatest chick flick of our time.
Gladiator is a "take shit from nobody, kick ass and take names" violent classic that women happen to enjoy.

just watched Children Of Men - suppose to be movie of the year or some shit - didn't hear really too much about it before i watched it other than it's AMAZING or w/e - quick summary (no spoilers - trailer summary):
set in the future, women are no longer fertile and there hasn't been a baby born in ~18yrs and then out of nowhere this chick gets pregnant
umm i thought it was pretty good, interesting concept, some crazy scenes - nothing over the top tho... idk ending was shitty... decent overall.

The Children of Men. It was pretty good, but had those same obvious british-movie elements (political agendas everywhere, critical on society, apocalyptic views, random funny british guys who turn bad).
