the writing was terrible(ie cheesy jokes, predictable situations, and very unsespensful) course the last part could have been because of the direction....who knows, it just didn't do anything for me...... and i probably would have rather watched nothing and done something else

i saw 'ghost' last night for the first time.
My mom bought that movie on VHS three times, and each time the fucking film somehow got fucked up. Apparently my family's unable to own a movie with Patrick Swayze in it.
As for Cellular, I watched that movie last year on my way to and from South America. First time it was in Spanish, and second in English. I didn't like it much, but it wasn't horrible.

the jacket. i meant to watch this when it was in theatres, but it left before i got a chance to, so i figured it wasn't any good. then the other day i saw it at blockbuster and was mildly interested in it, so i got it. it was a goooood choice, i loved it. it reminded me a lot of the butterfly effect, but with better acting (i mean c'mon, an oscar winner vs the guy from dude wheres my car) and imo a much more interesting and suspenseful story. i HIGHLY recommend it.

me too. the only thing that bothered me was this (SPOILER?!)
it seemed to be presented that nothing could change. he would die when he was supposed to blah blah blah, he could just SEE into the future. and then he changed it. i would have been pissed if he somehow saved himself, but since it was a smaller, somewhat more meaningful change it was ok. its also pretty depressing to think of how much of a saint the guy was and how much his life sucked balls.

It makes him more human and people can relate to him more. BTW Keira Knightly is fuckin hot.

im not saying it shouldn't have been that way, because if it wasn't the movie wouldnt have meant as much. i think it was part of the point that he never stopped giving to other people.

The Jacket was a damn good movie. I dunno if I liked it better than Butterfly Effect, although Adrian Brody is a better actor.

True.
I especially liked the part where he realized there was a bomb on his car and he drove away, went off a ramp and hit that hook thing and the bomb just came off. Not even a scratch on his car. After that part, I knew it was the most corny movie ever.

I didn't even finish watching the first one just because of all the crazy fake driving without a scratch on the car. That is why I disliked the movie.
Now the second one is worse. From what I know.

Yeah, you can watch the second one without seeing the first one, but then it just becomes a generic action movie. The first one obvoiusly sets the stage.
