EDIT: I take back what I said, this is really good. I just didn't like this kind of stuff back in April 2004

Definitely love Owen. That was my "falling asleep music" last winter. Really mellow.

ummm FUCK YEAH.
kyle i love you for knowing that. you're so sweet.
"nobody's nothing" is the first song i heard by them that caused me to fall in love, so if anyone's thinking of checking them out, download that song. "playing possum for a peek" and "poor souls" are my other favorites.
mypradashoes, you are absolutely right. it makes for perfect sleeping music. ahhh. especially "no good for no one now" because it has "take care of yourself" as the last song, which is 10 minutes long and is perfect for me because it usually takes me an entire cd to start to drift off.

So I'm kinda pissed at myself for waiting until this past year to listen to Owen
Probably one of my favorite bands currently. His music is damned near perfect. I just finished my collection of having all of his records.
Seriously...At Home with Owen is one of the best albums I've ever heard.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOj-pSuJ_NsVictor Villareal (ex-Cap'n Jazz, Owls) has a new album coming out titled Memories Alive. Not exactly Owen, but in the same vein and well worth your time.

Clare probably masturbates to Cap'n Jazz.
I'm pretty sure she does.

If you like this type of jams (like I do), you should also check out Zookeeper. It's much more upbeat folky, but still very good. The lead guy is chris simpson (the ex-lead of mineral/the gloria record)... His song "Boy & the street choir" sounds similar to some the Owen jams.
